I did a quick search and didn't see an indication that anyone posted this video. It's a pretty cool look at scooters in Great Britain. It's part of the Look at Life series and paints a great picture of scooters. Some of the off road stuff makes me wonder how well the GTS would do scrambling up some rough terrain.
The off-road segment surprised me. The clearance on the small bodies is so low, and the tire circumference so small, that I would be surprised it didn't high center or at least scrape the bottom badly in most of those ruts.
I also like the optimism in the way the practicality of those small scoots is described.
About the off road - GTS is a bit overweight, but with the low center of gravity would manage quite well I suspect. I've tried Sprint's abilities when taking a shortcut through woods. This was a path, not as rough as in the pic, but a still truly off road. Sprint was very easy to drive slowly there, no problems at all.
Enjoyable, little film. Still, most places here in the USA if you "filter" to the front of "split" lanes you will anger most cagers (the will shoot you here) and in many places it not legal. I went around a car once making a left turn, there was no on coming street, just a left turn so there was no danger at all. Cop pulls me over for illegal passing, now I just got a warning but in Missouri, it's a no no.
Great find. Enjoyed watching all the scooters. I learned a thing or two as well. Never knew Great Britain manufactured scooters at one point. Nor did I know women made up such a large percentage of scooter owners. Is that still the case today?
