Hi friends,
Last year in April, i have joined this beatifiul forum and announced all of you that I'll buy a brand new Vespa GTS 250.
And I did buy her. A beatifiul volcano black GTS250. It's the best scooter I ever had. We loved eachother so much.
I rode with her for more than 8000km.
Also i modified her a bit.
A topcase, windshield, grips, painted wheels, custom seat and etc.
And I called her "Rosinante":

Everything was fine but while the spring approachs I fell in love with another georgoes bike. Also an italian.

Moto Guzzi V7 Racer II....

And now I ordered one of this bikes Hope next week It will arrive and i will make ready the registration and plate.

I really liked Vespa and vespa community. I learned so much from this forum.
Also when I get the new bike I will post it here and will always check the forum.
Now I have to sell my Vespa GTS but I know that in a near future I will ceartinly but another Vespa beside this MotoGuzzi.
Guzzi maybe have more power. maybe more motocylce style but Vespa's place is so much special and different.

Hope to hear from you about Moto Guzzi.
See you soon.
Regards.
Emir..

Thank you all,
Really looking forward for the new bike.
Before vespa i rode lots of bikes but none of them was as fancy as this.
the chrome tank makes a real diffrent.
it is a pure cafe racer with italian style.

I don't know if you can swing it but I would keep the Scooter AND get the Guzzi. I know it may not be possible, the past two warm days I was tearing it up on my Ducati, I love that bike but I love the Vespa too. Besides, I can't carry stuff on the Ducati, I use the Scoot all the time for errands and some joy riding too. Still when I want to hit the backroads I have two other bikes to choose from and there is nothing better. Old-man mold, bombing the roads feeling the sun (or cold) smelling the roses, hay or shit I'm on the Sportster 883 and when I wan to remember my youth (and risk my life) it's the Ducati Monster. There are a few more bikes I sure would like but like most there is $$$$ to consider. Mind you I've got all these toys over more than a few years. Only the Sportster was purchased new (10 years + ago) and the deal was just too good under $6,000 in the winter with a few extras.

If you must remain with just one, well the Guzzi is sure not to shabby....

I am going through a phase also.
Italian has flair. Design, sex appeal, exclusivity. Speed. Among other things.
The Vespa has grace and style. Timeless. Icon-ish.
So does my Aprilia. I get to keep both.

Hopefully you can keep both Emir. Nice bikes. They both have a place.
Nice new colors on the Guzzi.

thank you all for all good wishes.
I'll really try to keep Vespa in the garage.
It's a real life saver in real life.
I go to work, shopping, sports etc. everywhere in the city which has a real crowded traffic jam.

And while riding guzzi i always willl have to carry a back pack.
And when i go to somewhere there is no place to secure my helmet my gloves mj riding jacket
if i go to a movie i must carry all this stuff and sit on the theatre al these up on my knees. quite boring.
i am used to lock everything up in the topbox and have fun what i am supposed to do.
the only thing to figure out this situtaion is keeping vespa but it will hurt me financialy very bad.
but who nows ? God is great. maybe i will earn some surprise money these days.

Very beautiful bike. Saw one up close the other day and it was a looker. Caught my eye in the MC parking where i park free. Don't be a stranger on here and if you have to sell the Vespa make sure it goes to a good home.

I have lived the Polygamist lifestyle for a few years now. One is Italian and the other is Japanese and I love them both for very different reasons.

One is harder to ride but I'm well endowed with skills so we both end up satisfied. The Italian one is easy...too easy to ride. But that's what I need on the stressful days. She doesn't challenge me and we end up having A LOT of fun.

It's the perfect situation. I don't desire another addition.

There is a term "one year vespista"- a person who owned Vespa for short time and then "it was a time to move toward a serious bike". haha.
Why not to keep both vespa and moto Guzzi?

in fact you are right to think like that.
But I don't consider guzzi a serius bike and vespa not.
before vespa I rode lots of big bikes. super sports, big cruisers etc.
But vespa is very much different then those japanese bikes.
I really loved it and never under estimate it.

Why I sold Vespa and get a bigger bike ? There is only one answer. Moto guzzi was an earlier dream of my life before Vespa. And when i found the financial opportunity to buy it i didnt want to miss that chance.

I hope to keep Vespa very much but in my country Vespa is really pricely so I can not afford two bikes at the same time.

But that is for sure that I didn't give up Vespa for ever. In a mid-term time I will buy a 946 and enjoy pure scooting again

Congratulation! I love the V7 Racer, especially with the chrome tank. What a beautiful bike! I don't own one yet, but I do own another Moto Guzzi.

Too bad you can't keep both. The V7 Racer is very light weight and flickable, but the Vespa is even more so. In my riding life, there is room for at least one motorcycle and one motor scooter (if not more!). They really complement one another very well.

In any event, enjoy your new ride!!!
