I search on this forum and found that it's a common problem:

"my friend had that happen to her GT200, and the exhaust gases actually melted part of her rear brake line. I think she ended up putting muffler tape on it until the shop got one in"

My question is how involved would it be to replace the break line? Is the damage area easily accessible from underneath/side? and part cost?

I have a 2005 GT200. TIA.

There was a recall for this failure. Check with your dealer, they might fix it all for you. And free is a good price.
