Yes, the Primavera styling is definitely a favorite of mine. I had been looking at Vespas for a couple of years, but didn't jump in until I saw the new PV. Love at first sight! The hardest thing was choosing the color. Really loved one of the 300s with the split leather seat but it was massive and maybe not a good choice for first scoot. I'm not a very big person, lol!
Hate that many full faces aren't a good fit with much but a large box. I paid a lot of money for my FF, so not leaving it locked to anything. It used to fit under the seat until they modded the seat for my reach. Havent tried hauling groceries yet. Would love if the box were easily swappable. Can probably fit more in a crate? I was advised against swapping it out very much, not sure why. |

Oh wow, they modified your seat for you? I'll have to take a closer look at that.
I do like how I can put all kinds of stuff on the luggage rack. As long as it it bungeed down, it's good to go. So maybe I wait on the top box after all... Hm.. When we talked top box with dealer, it seemed it is just sort of a pain in the ass to get on and off. Are there lights on the back of the box? I wonder if it is a wiring issue which just makes that and the mechanics of getting it on and off a PIA? |

I was tippy-toe at a stop and wanted to be ball-of-the-foot. They shaved it down a bit, not much foam there to start, so had to melt the seat plate underneath and push it down, reducing the vertical clearance.
No lights or reflectors on that box, just a c-shaped bracket then fit it to the mount plate with a thumb screw on the inside. Didn't seem that complicated to me. Will likely remove it at some point as I prefer the look of no top case, but they are pretty handy. |

Haha... I thought the same thing, then looked at the caption and realized she was taking a ride to go riding. Its still a cool look, but the breeches would need to be Kevlar with knee armor for me, guess the boots wouldnt fit then, but yea- cool look on that red Vespa with chrome.

Yeah, I did at least get the FF helmet right off the bat. I wish we could wear them while riding horses! Have gone face first off a horse before in a bluestone ring. That was delightful.
I do have some gear picked out. The Vespa was a birthday gift and unfortunately, it came at a time when I'm making a quarter of what I used to make! I started my own business recently. And it is too tempting to ride it. The hour ride to the barn was the last long ride I took. I know it can happen at any time, anywhere but I've been keeping it to short rides in 40 mph or less roads. I do try to minimize risk. There are certain multi-lane roads I just avoid altogether. Anywhere where there are a lot of lane changes and lights, I avoid. Great thing is, there are 25 mph roads that lead to the same places that one does so I can o everywhere and get all kinds of stuff done without ever hitting a main road. Love it! |

Sweet birthday gift! I would love to feel comfortable in something other than a full face helmet, but when you know the value, it's hard to make the change. You sound like me, taking the safe roads and minimizing risks. Gear can be expensive, that's for sure! I rode for quite awhile with cheap gear. Stay safe out there. The saddle cracks me up!

Yeah, I figure face first off a horse was bad enough. I only flip the chin guard up when I'm talking to admirers. Every time I take Sophia out, people ask about her!

Nice pic! Looks like an Italian ad for Vespa. It belongs in General Discussion/Ride on the Wild Side thread, lol!
Just love the crash bars with the dragon red. I'm about two shakes away from removing the top case on mine for awhile, but I would want a back rack like the one you have. |

Quick search on MV and I found this: Is your Vespa 300 a little tall for you? I printed out photos, and took the GTS seat to a local Saddler (OP should know all about these guys). He loved the idea. Now I have a custom seat with anti-slide material under my butt since it actually leans forward quite a bit. The rest of the seat is a different material, and every stitch he made was in a nice blue to match the bike. You mention that they had to melt the seat plate to push it down. I wonder if cutting that seat plate (as seen on the other topic - and on my bike), then using straps as a base would allow you to put your FF under the seat. Once I rented a Primavera and was pleasantly surprised when my FF hid under the seat so well. The super-wide GTS can't even do that! |

Is not this a great Vespa Life?
Sophia,
The Primavera is spectacular. You look spectacular on it. This Vespa riding is like a great Disney Ride that never ends. I was fortunate to spend a measure of time in Rome. You look like all the smashing young ladies that zipped by me on their Vespas. Thanks for your post. Buona Fortuna - Ride Safe. Bob Copeland Old man in Minnesota |
