Modern Vespa

The Rules:

* The boundaries could be the Golden Gate Bridge, Santa Cruz, and Livermore.

* To start, someone posts a photo of their scooter with a landmark, sign, etc. Clues may be given along with the photo.

* Individually other participants ride to the same place and get a photo with THEIR scooter at the same/similar spot.

* The first person to "tag" the photo by posting their photo with their bike gets to post the next photo for people to find.

If no one is able to identify the tag, the poster can give progressively easier clues until someone finally says "AHA!" though please don't post the location of the tag until after someone else has tagged it. The hunt is part of the fun.

Wanna Play? Start one in your area if there are MV'ers there. (Glasseye if you post your pic of Mt. Ham I'll ride there and provide a new tagging location by 8/5)

Put on some miles - you don't need to do that much group riding....It's an unlimited mileage warranty. Get over it.

It's not that hard to find, there's a really good clue in the picture. But you still have to get there.

I figured it out but yeah getting there is kind of a problem.

If I get up crazy early tomorrow morning maybe I can get there and back before work (yeah right!)

Oh, I lent my Card Reader to Angela and somehow misplaced my cam's USB cable.

So had to photo the Lumix w/ my old Nikon 950 and use MacOS9 to get it up to the interwebs.

The Rally is blocked in by a Mini, the 180SS is still in pieces, after 2000m Seattle ride, my butts relationship w/ the GTS seat is akin to Like Poles on a Magnet. So the moto was the only choice.

But if you insist, I can posibly get my partner in crime to assist w/ a more syntactically correct vernaculer scooter setting.

Tag, Oscillator you're responsible for posting the next location.

Other areas of the country - go for it! Think about an hour or so in any direction from a reasonable base of scooterists - South OC, vs. the whole of OC kind of thing.

Bay Area Peeps: I think we may need to revise this to a smaller geographic area, because the SF folks are so far away from the San Jo and so on; I think it would be neat to look at when you get home from work and think - 'I can get there, take a picture, and still be home in time for Dancing With the Stars.'

I'm hoping there can be a new photo every other day to keep some action going.

I think keeping it Bay Area will work ok. it will be cool to watch as it shifts from the city to south or east bay. I think we have enough people that will ride the distance to capture it for one area or another.

Give it some time and if it doesn't work then we can focus it a bit more.

Can't wait to see what's next.

+1... I love riding around West Marin.

That would be up to a North Bay group of MV'ers.

One reason I thought this was cool is that you could look at the thread when you get home early from work on a stellar, perfect day, and see that there is something to go for. If we do a huge area, it could be weeks or months before someone gets it, or the thread sinks into oblivion.

Now if a game of tag gets started by one of our South/East/North Bay MV'ers and you want to track their picture down AND can post the next photo then it should be OK
