Modern Vespa

I thought I was onto something when I pulled two of the three together.

1)close to home : Mountain View (duh)
3)Beautiful Mount : Monte Bello?
Has a dead-end, but not even close to overlook SCV.

Come on now, trekking is half the fun 8)

Hmmm. I think I bicycled up there a little while ago. (Grunt.) Maybe I'll see how much easier it is on a Vespa!

I went to the old Jesuit Novitiate Winery up on Joseph's Hill in Los Gatos.

It's a dead end, there's a gate, there's a view, there's hiking and it's not the place.

Looks like a great ride. Did you take ay pictures? I think you missed the first clue. Close to home. I live in Mountain View. Los Gatos is a bit of a hike for me. This place is a lot closer to home.

Now I think I have a pretty damn good idea where it is, but I dont feel like riding up there right now, busy busy, unless I had incentive... like a hot steamy make out session with some random chick.

hrrrmmmm I can only think of one other road, but I won't be able to get up there for a few days.

Was it a "dead end" road b/c of road construction? I'm looking at a Google Map saying it reaches all the way to Stevens Canyon.

OOOHHH!!! New Sunday Ride route?

I'm thinking of including Ridge Vineyards for the vintner's ride on AV 2009.
There's Pichetti Vineyards also on the way up.
I learned to enjoy Cabernets and Zinfandels here.

The route does dead end for vehicles. It's a narrow road with great views. Bicyclists like it also. We can just add the Vineyards at the top of the Mt Eden route and picnic at the top.

The few times I have wandered up that road. I came to that gate and saw nothing but gravel going forward. It wasn`t until stig mentioned it going thru that I looked on a map. So to all you searchers I say sorry. I thought it was a dead end and so posted the clue.

So I couldn't find the original spot, was able to find the "Further East" clue.

Location : Port of Redwood City.

I recognized it because I know Lyngso granite is close and has machinery like the blue tower. The third picture had the Dumbarton Bridge in the background, easy find for anyone who lives/lived in Palo Alto.

Close, but the further east hint is significantly away from the tag. Follow the tracks.

Even if I don't get it, I could care less. It was nice to be back near the ol' stomping ground and be out so early. I amost forgot that feeling I had every morning I got off work when I did graveyard - among the first to see the morning and almost NOBODY else on the roads.

Clue : Long before Tanya ever took-on SF Vespa, I had to drag my ass back and forth for service, without a loaner bike.... I would always think about this lonely little spot, only stopping when necessary.

My mind always seems to associate this place with the guys in orange vests, on the side of the road, doing cleaning work and refurbishing our State's highways.

This location is also the second stop into San Mateo County. I didn't have to ride very long to get here from the Port of Redwood City.
