As a lower leg amputee I am a long time fan of and am an owner of a MP3 400i. I find it a fantastic machine, helps my disabilty and gets me back on the road. Unfortunately following a recent full knee replacement this left leg has developed very limited knee bending.. As a result I am unable to tuck my prothesis into the foot space of the MP3 and wonder if a foot peg adaptation is available for the MP3. Any advise would be much appreciated.ŵ
You have what must be exactly the same disability as myself amputee and less than 90 degreee knee bend. My soloution was to modify the seat so i could sit further back, this decision was partly made for me as when i bought my fuoco the seat had aready been messed around with and was fitted with a home made viynl cover and the plastic seat base had been cut out at one point and a metal plate with a dip in it that protruded into the underseat storage space. I have had a few go's at cutting out the original seat foam both on the top and sides. The only problem with this is that the further back you sit when you come to a stand still your inside leg measurement wants to be about 35" !!! .Also you need to make a foot rest for your foot otherwise only the heel of your prosthetic foot sits on the footplate. I have also been thinking about fitting a footrest BUT just remember WE both live in Scotland and yesterday if i'd had a footrest i think i would have been pouring the water out of my left boot not that it would matter as my foot is totaly waterproof
