I used to have J.Costa on my GTV250. The J.Costa was really quick off the line. After about 3K miles, it started to squeak. I replaced the rulers every 3K miles but it never stopped squeaking and eventually I lost top end going up hills. I ended up replacing it with the OEM variator and Dr. Pulley sliders. I don't remember the roller weights but took Max's from Scooterwest.com suggestion.

I'm really happy with the new setup. It restored my top speed and no squeaking. And plenty of umph off the line.
