I searched and could find nothing. When I have my scooter up to speed and decelerate it gives a "pop" or two. Everything runs fine though.

When I leave it to idle it will die after about 7-8 minutes. It starts back up but when I rev it, it will make the same sputtering pops 3 or4 times.

Last little nugget, when I was letting it sit and idle, at about 10 minutes it developed the slightest little oil drip coming from just above the oil filter. Water pump area maybe?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know about the oil drip, but the pop after deceleration is probably some unburned fuel in the hot header/muffler igniting. If you can get it on a reader it may show something is off, but for now I think you can start by checking the air filter and box.

The 200's tend to do it but not heard of a 250. Is it a stock muffler. Check for any places it can be leaking. The guys with the 200's don't worry about it (they checked for leaks and didn't find any). Gotta love Italians things. Laughing emoticon

Why are you letting it sit and idle for ten minutes at a time?
You more than likely have an exhaust leak. Get rid of it and the backfire will stop.
