I have a 1995 (as the serie suggest) Piaggio Typhoon you can see here https://www.facebook.com/GeorGEBlaCKRidER/media_set?set=a.140833772638868.30451.100001367394298&type=3 .
After some drops (that weren't my fault) the underside plastic has lost he's ears (the things screws go through and tie it to the chassis) and i'm thinking of replacing it with a FLAT metal.
More rezilient, thougher and protects it like at crooss motorcycles.
I also think i should make it a bit wider than the floor and easy bend downwards and out (like a plow wth the blade turned downwards) so it diverts the water sprayed by the front wheel without wetting my feets.

My clutch overheated and broke back in 2008-2009 and the scooter is sitting since then due too expensive new parts.
Recently i've been thinking to look for used replacement ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION but if i'm replacing them anyhow and i'm preety heavy myself (now 136 kg slimming to 95-100) i want to replace it with 125 2 stroke.
With this occasion i also wanna change to an engine type that has factory mounted or the posibility to mount (supports and everything there allready) a disk brake on the back.
Also i want a water cooled engine now.

Now,The problems i made this account to ask are the following :

- Can i put a 125 cc engine from a 1998-2000 nrg on a 1995 Typhoon (the engines is the same used in numerous models and can be used interchangeably,i've heard) ?

- Do Hi-Per 2 engines have disk brake posibility and are water cooled or these are only available on the Hi-Per 2 Pro ?

- Is the Piaggio 125cc big block the Hi-Per 2 ?

- Is there an NRG wheel with space for a wide and baloon tire like mine (check photos on FB) ?
As i LOVE my current wide tires with model like off road ones and the balooning (or whatever is called the space between rim and top of the tire),i would like to keep it,but i need to upgrade to bigger ones so there would be enough space for a decent (to be read PREETY BIG).

- The disk brake on the back,is is cable or hidraulic like front ?

- Do i have to change (so i've heard) the entire front fork to have a working one (i think the sealed dried and the oil ran out as i can't remember ever working but once in a while observed oily stuff on it) ?

- What is the name of the headlight with the 2 magnifier lights ? (Photo 1)

- What lights do they use ? Normal or HID ?

- Can i put HID lights on my scooter, more so if i also change the recharger (or whatever is called the thing recharging the batteries) to suit the bigger engine ?

- Can i modify them to run both at the same time on short beam, using another pair in the handlebar mask for long beam ?

- What do you think about my flat underside mask ideea ?

- Where do the weight go on the Hi-Per 2 engine ? On mine i know they go in the frontpart of the transmission,in the clutch, but that they were moved on the Hi-Per 2 engine ?

- What weights do i have and what weight do i have to use in my new engine to get the same effect ? My scooter has a VERY good acceleration. For very short distances it will jerk and go with 250 kg people on them with ease but, usually (with 50cc engine) only goes untill 70-80 km/h with 1 person.
What do i need to use in the new one (125cc) to have the acceleraiton mentained but increase the max speed at 100km/h and if not possible to keep it at 80km/h ? What weights ?
Would it help to look for the current weights ? Would they make the same effect on 125 cc ?

- Are there any more differences ?
IT was brought to my attention that the 50cc scooters and 125cc scooters have different engine mount (50 cc in picture 2 and 125 cc in the picture 3).
Are there any more differences in between the 2 beside that ?
Beside the mount incercled in the fotograf (3),are there any difference to the frame ?
Is that mount welded in the same place as the one of 50/80 cc ?
Is the mount completely different or just have something in addition, that may be added so the weldnd won't be necesarry ?

Try the Scooter Shack forum, people have done it in the UK.....The 125 wasn't imported here to the States, so they are very rare here....

I bought it from the guy who bought from the guy who imported it. So I'm the third US owner. Just wondering if you knew the local that had imported it (and if he's got a line on importing things).
