Hey All,
I just picked up a '60 150, looking forward to reviving it. I have some stator wiring questions for another thread, but wanted to figure out what I've actually got first.

The engine serial number starts with VBA1M, but all I can find for diagrams is for a VBA1T. Are they the same thing?

If so,
As I try to get the wiring back together, I noticed there is NO green wire coming out of the stator loom - which I assume suggests it's a battery version. But there's no battery, regulator, etc.. or a lead going to anywhere that the battery would sit.

I'm sure a frame number would help, but I'm still searching for it. There's nothing under the left cowl or anywhere I can find. Will continue poring over it with a flashlight later.

Any thoughts?

The engine number will end with a "m" as you found out. The frame number has a "t" at the end. The frame number is what you should be most concerned about as it will let you know what year you have, wiring diagrams, etc... The frame number will be under the left panel (as you are sitting on the scoot) and you will probably have to move the rubber up to find it.
