So I wanted to wish all of you a Happy 4th of July. I know that as this forum is international, many of you do not celebrate it.....but there are a lot here that do. At least in the Chicago area the weather seems to be coorporating and I hope all of you will be out on your powered two wheeler of choice. But also lets be very careful out there, lots of people celebrating and perhaps driving when they shouldn't be, and lots of fireworks that can be dangerous. We need a little fun celebration as the world has been a scary place lately. So lets ride, lets barbecue, lets watch fireworks, and celebrate with friends and family. For me this is also a bit special as July 5th is my anniversary, my wife and I have been together for 35 years....thats special. Have fun everyone!!!!

Great memories of Chicago area celebrations when we were stationed at Naval Air Station Glenview in the late 1980s.

My country freed itself from a dishonest and unfair rule, so we celebrate July 4th.

We Americans may be loud...obnoxious...but we are loyal also. And kind to people we care about.

When I first came to the US people would ask me if the 4th of July was celebrated in England. I replied, "Yes. We call it Thanksgiving Day". They stopped asking!
