How do, haven't been on here for 7 years since I sold my PX!

Anyway getting back into scootering with a Scomadi I'm buying this week

**UPDATE**, Scomadi was crap (had electrical issues) so bought a T5 instead

Thought id give an honest review of one seeing as most people are bias one way or another!

Its a 50cc lol, but it'll be getting a Vespa 300 GTS engine transplant soon, hence why Ill be asking a few questions no doubt soon!

Does that mean that the Scomadi 50 frame, suspension, and brakes are the same as the Scomadi 200?

The 50 and 125 frames minus rear shock mounts are identical apparently

The 200 has had some revisions, front forks are a bit beefier, new anti dive, frame besides mounts is largely unchanged.

More info in this months UK's Scootering

Ive been looking more into this and the gts 125 engine is still 15hp which is a big increase over the stock 125 scomadi.

The engines are a lot cheaper as well.

The 125 has 15hp, 300 22bhp, the 300 is roughtly 270cc?

Just keeping my options open, I'm not after massive power, just something a bit quicker and a genuine vespa engine, rather than Chinese.

Been talking to Paul from PM Tuning (owner) who actually says there planning on selling a 150cc upgrade kit for 50 owners for £550 (with the brexit, that's probably about $4 now )

Now might hang fire to see if it materialises, see what engine its based on.

I'm assuming it'll be a 150 gy6 based engine like the 125
If its still a Chinese engine, Ill probs stick down the GTS vespa engine route

I've owned cheapo Chinese bikes before as well as vespas and kawasakis. so I know the difference between quality ABS panels, crap etc.

Hopefully within a week, ill have a full photo review of build quality ready to post! I'm not gonna bother with performance etc, its a 50cc, here in the UK unless you live in the middle of a city there bloody pointless and just hold traffic up. Places like Netherlands etc, I can see them being more popular with this engine size due to better bike infrastructure. (Was well impressed when I visited Rotterdam) Gonna try and stick to build quality, welds, quality of plastics/controls etc.

Update, went to buy and found out it had severe electrical issues even though it was only 6 month old.

Speedos seem poorly made as well

Went for a vespa T5 instead

apologies for people wanting a review

they seem ok for a plastic scoot but electrics looks Chinese at best

Well that's a shame!

So what are the plans for the T5?

Well gonna leave the engine etc pretty standard

I really like the base colour but not the flame thing

As jackson85 said I might try and get my painter mate to match the metallic base coat and respray the horn/mud guard/side panels.

Also removing the horrid chequer plate and replace with runners

Engine is sweet

Thinking maybe SIP speedo as well.

Just needs a few things removed to suit my tastes but I like the overall 90's mod style.

Confusing here in the UK lol, theres 60s mods, some 70s, a lot of 80's mods and a small 90's revival lot as well.

Standard T5 motor, after owning a normal 125px and a 150cc lml one this is a lot faster.
