Hey MV,

I tore into the 150 and the cylinder walls have seen better days. Found this kit on eBay from India, anyone know if it'll work or not?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vespa-VBB-VLB-VBA-Bajaj-Chetak-2-Port-Cylinder-Piston-Kit-Brand-New-MGE-/251583409286?hash=item3a938a2c86:g:wrsAAOSwE3BXFcyq&vxp=mtr

I know I could bore out the cylinder, but if $70 will get a new top end, then..?

It's actually $95 with shipping.

To be on the safe side you can purchase from a well known source and get a oversize for $45 more with shipping.

Someone here may have a good used one for sale. It is just a hit and miss with Indian parts on ebay.

It's better to get the parts from a well known source.Majority of spares from India are 'cheap stuff' though very few are of good quality which you may get if luck favours.

Got it, thanks guys.

That will also mean replacing the head and rejetting, etc.. Prob looking at ~$250 for a new top end. I'll give it some time to forget how much I just spent on an order from SIP.

$250? Standard 57mm 2 port top end at Mercato is only $119 but out of stock. Just get their oversize 61mm setup for $132. It's aftermarket, not Piaggio but I just put one on a motor and the quality was pretty good. Don't forget to upjet if you do.

Sorry, $200.
Kit + Head + Jets + Tax + Shipping = >$200
