Two things about this pic may make it unacceptable: (A) I took it near the 5th Avenue Landing parking lot. Little white's photo may have been taken closer to the hotel. (The Coronado Bridge looks closer in his her shot.) and (2) There's no Dole container ship in my pic.

I think the next tag is known to pretty much everyone. It's frequently a controversial news topic. It's also a very common stop on scooter rides that cruise near the coast. In fact, I think there's one this week-end.

Built in 1925, This bridge was in service until the mid 90's when it was bypassed for a new bridge. An additional bridge is currently under construction.

Above is the old Bonsall Bridge, also called the San Luis Rey River Bridge. It can be found near Highway 76 and Old River Road. I was tempted to take a pic of the new bridge just to keep Len in the game. So glad to see you again, Len!

We already had an Easter cross, so here's one to acknowledge Passover:
Built in the Classic Revival architectural style, this was San Diego's first synagogue dating back to 1889. The building served as temporary quarters for many religious sects. Among the tenants were the Biblical Institute of Spiritualism, the Volunteers of America Mission, and the Scottish Clan Society who named the structure Cameron Hall. It was also home to the Fraternal Spiritualist Church. This historic building was moved from its original location in 1978 and is currently being operated by San Diego County as a community center. (Hope that's enough info to make it Google-able.)

Ok, one more crack at it I can do. I have an idea where the photo might be taken, but won't have time to ride there before a 9am meeting.

If I am correct about the locale, I'm going to feel silly since I rode in that area last weekend.

Tag! dead end of Adams avenue, overlooking mission valley, 3 blocks west of Park Ave.


I took a looong lunch and hauled ass down from UTC via Genessee > Linda Vista rd > Ulric > Friars > Texas > Monroe > Park > Adams.

I sort of used the experience to try a route from UTC area south without hitting a single freeway.

This location might be a dead giveaway at first sight, but finding the exact photo location might prove more difficult.

More clues to come if needed, since I owe some karmic clue debt on my previous, first scooter tag win.

Nah, ya didn't kill it. I know (and I'm willing to bet others know) where your tag is but can't get there yet. I may have some time on Tuesday or Wednesday.

When I was taking the above photo, a fellow pulled over in his pick-up truck. I thought it might be DirtyRAT. Instead, it was a fellow who spotted me on a Patriot Guard mission earlier this morning in El Cajon. He wanted to know how many errands I had run (and how many groceries I could carry!) in the couple of hours since he'd seen me. He kinda didn't believe me when I said there was plenty more hauling capacity on the front rack and on the seat behind me. We may have another convert headed to MV.

The next tag was prompted by Len's bridge. Plus, it's very close to the pier.

La Jolla Shores Drive, looking north @ Downwind way. This bridge is for foot traffic from the UCSD Oceanography campus and Scripps aquarium to the Scripps Oceanography main campus.

Almost got run over by many taxicabs on the way to take this photo, but it was worth it. Those taxicabs move alot of people to a place that moves even greater numbers of people to locations across the world.
