I tried cheap batteries and they are just that, cheap junk. Stay away!

Motobatt 16 YTX-16 BS (14 is factory size but 16 is taller and still fits)
is recommended but it's still a Chinese battery.

Yuasa AGM is the only batteries I touch any more.
I own a Optimate 6 to properly charge it after I add the acid (very easy to do)

Motocross = Yuasa = ZERO difference.

My MP3 never started better. I have Yuasa now in all my bikes.
I second this recommendation of Yuasa. I had a Yuasa as an OEM battery on my Suzuki Volusia and it lasted for 10 good years before I had to replaced it. I bought an EverReady AGM battery from Walmart to replace it and it died on me only 2 years later. I replaced it with a Yuasa now.

I bought a 2009 MP3 400 and it came with a Yuasa battery. I don't know if it's original OEM or not but most likely is. It was still running strong until 2016 (8 years later) when my son accidentally drain it down by leaving the bench opened for several days before I had to replace it. I think it would have lasted a couple more years if it hadn't been accidentally drained. I replaced it with a Yuasa as well.

We bought a replacement battery on Amazon (Chrome Battery) and it wouldn't hold a charge. It was a big hassle we don't want to repeat so were wondering if anyone has recommendations for a compatible battery that's not expensive that will do the job? Is it possible WalMart or some other big store (car parts?) might have/get one - so if it's bad again it's not such a hassle to return?
I bought a battery from battery mart it is a A G M battery ( absorbed glass mat) type it was about $69.00 dollars and then it went on sale for 49.00 dollars it came fully charged and I got it in 2 days with free shipping you can goggle it and see there sight. Well made battery guaranteed for 1 year
I bought an AGM battery from Battery Mart a little over a year ago and it lasted about a year. It was my 1st AGM battery. They said they would replace it no problem after verifying it was bad like I told them. Screw that I'm not going to give you another chance. I got another brand AGM battery that cost less than $50 from RenegadeBattery.com. I had to call them to make sure they had a battery that was right for my MC. They did and sent it to me. Now I've bought 2 AGM batteries from them and have no regrets so far. 1 of them is over 2 years old now and it still works fine. I have 8 MCs, scooters that I have to maintain. Have no idea where these batteries are made. All I know is they meet my expectations and they cost me 1/2 of any other batteries I could buy. 8)

I have been really happy with mine now for 4 years so far.
I bought on of these from Amazon on June 7 this year to replace a previous one that just wore out. It arrived DOA. When I reported this to Amazon, they sent me a new one.
