hi guys,

Also having spark issues with my 1973 Rally 200 - read a lot of related topics here, but still can't find the solution.
One of the components I am having doubts about, is the CDI. I am currently using the aftermarket CEAB CDI for rally 200. To rule out the CDI (but also to get my Rally closer to original), I am looking to buy an original Femsatronic CDI.

Question I have is if there's different types/ versions of these Femtronic CDI's. For instance, I saw a Bultaco Vespa CDI indicating it is an "ELA 1-1", could this work?
Many thanks!

I have all of the old femsa ignition parts left over from when I converted my 74 Rally. The CDI has been sitting for a few years so it may or may not work. I'd be willing to ship it to you, you can test it and if it works make an offer. PM me if interested. I also have the crank with cam trigger, stator and flywheel available as well.

one thing to consider- those CEAB replacements get a bad rap.

However, almost all of the failures i've seen have been the ignition coil part and not he CDI box- swapping a good ignition coil onto one with issues usually clears them up.

beyond that, do your impedance checks of the stator and replace any components out of spec- all of them are available now.
