So, I took a weekend trip to LA on Saturday evening, on the basis of picking up my wife and kids and stopping by Vespa Sherman Oaks to see David and Lynda.

A few years ago I'd visited VSO and pledged to buy my first ride from then if/when I moved to the USA.

Well, today I made good on that promise - I purchased my new ride from VSO, which will be shipped to my home in Virginia in the coming days.

I thought about the 70th Anniversary Vespa GTS 300, but ultimately went for a Matt-black 2016 Piaggio BV-350.

I'm happy with my purchase, the service at Vespa Sherman Oaks is superlative, absolutely second to none. Dave and Lynda deserve everything they work hard for. At VSO, it's people first, bikes second. Truly amazing.

So there you go, my first USA-ride.

Anyone in NOVA wanna ride?

Having been there and done that in NoVA, be prepared to waste some time...

But I DO have wonderful memories of riding my BV 350, Il Pazzo, for 6,000 all over the VA countryside with my scooter gang, DC Spin Doctors. Good luck and good riding.
