I am the proud new owner of a second hand MP3 250. As I live 4 hours ride from the nearest Piaggio service agent I was wanting to do as much work as possible. I have seen some great videos online on changing oil and wondered if there were any on brake pads and fluid as well as coolant. - or should I just find a local motorcycle mechanic and take my chances?

Mitch has a few on youtube for the MP3/400, which you can sort of read in-between the lines.

When I first did Coolant, i searched for Videos for the Vespa GTS 250/300, or GTV which the engine is the same. Brakes or not exactly the same, but its a decent guide to set some expectations.
The MP3 Front Brakes are a pain, and can get air through the bleeder threads. There are many recommendations on how to do this on other threads. I will be posting soon some information about "Speed Bleeders" where they are Bleeders with a "one way valve" built into them which will make it easy to just twist each one open a 1/4 turn and put plastic tubing on each to catch the fluid, then just pump the brakes and keep filling the reservoir, then just close the bleeders your done. At least that is my expectations?
