Thanks man !

About ur question, not really... I just did the windshield, air filter and akrapovic job.

Unfortunately i dont have many tools here and actually in croatia the price of the labour is really cheap. For example im having a coffee while I wait for the installation of the bitubo shock and the labour cost is around 20EUR (BTW is around 33 celsius degrees Laughing emoticon )

I will update my post with the new mods.
Still waiting for the Malossi variator and Malossi TC lamda

He finished the job so now my vespa has a bitubo front shock.
Honestly is another bike. Now i can feel the front and when i took the highway i felt much more stability plus the breaking power is better as well.

A Bitubo front shock is at the top of my shopping list. I was surprised to see the side tank at the front of the shock - I usually see it behind, above the brake calipers. I guess it would work the same either way around, but your arrangement looks neat, as long as it doesn't bump on anything as the suspension moves up and down.

I also have an Akrapovic exhaust and Dr.Pulley sliders, and a modified air filter.

Beautiful scooters, aren't they.

hey mike, thanks for ur commentaries. I thought the same about the shock but my mechanic told me is fine. Should be works in the same way, maybe is a lil uncomfortable to set up the shock

Hope you have 46 mm socket to undo that clutch nut.

Have fun getting down and dirty. I'm sure you will be delighted with the results.

I've the same set up as your bike but I put a 4 pots Brembo at the front disc.
The Brembo brake adapter allow the shock to flip the other way around.

What's your setting for spring pre load and damping? I haven't got the time to play around with it yet.

Thanks lads, but I dont have tools to do it by myself.
About the shock, the preload height is the same as stock and the compression is 5 times from the softest.

What about those brakes? still thinking than the vespa has not good brakes but with the bitubo shock the brake power is better but not enough

The Brembo 4 pot is gorgeous. The breaking power is a lot higher and less effort with the fingers.

Space is tight but ok. The mechanic put 3mm spacer to offset the front wheel to the right so the breading hose doesn't touch the rim.

Beats me why Brembo supply their calipers with the bleeder valve down below the hose banjo. They should be swapped around. Then there is no need for spacer washers, and bleeding is more efficient with the valve at the top. With the bleeder below you can't get at any air bubble at the top of the calipers. Vito's scooter has them the correct way around.

I received my Bitubo shock this afternoon, from SIP. So this weekend I shall be fitting the Bitubo and the Brembo calipers. Looking forward to better handling (especially bumps) and better braking. Still not decided whether I will fit the shock the other way around, as Vito has it. Looks very neat that way, but a little difficult to adjust.

Updates....

New malossi variator and TC lamda. My gts got a faster take off and seems like is getting better top speed as well. Is not a huge change, but is better.

Congrats! Very nicely done. Does the Akrapovic exhaust sit lower than the stock exhaust? Does it reduce your cornering clearance?

Finally got my Bitubo shock and Brembo calipers mounted. I decioded to mount the Bitubo the same way around as you, the unusual way. But I don't like all the writing showing there, and have covered it with some black electrical tape.

Absolutely amazing colour that blue one!
I was also wondering how is the ride now. Also I found some Vespas with black Bitubo springs, does somebody know where to look for them?

Vito, I'm sure you bike shines more, because I has fitted black mirrors and removed the side panel stickers (but I have added a chrome headlight surround).

Can't comment on the performance of my latest mods yet. Still have to adjust the Bitubo shock, and I think the Brembo calipers need a bit more bleeding - very difficult with ABS. Too much drizzle and chill this week to do much riding.

A red Brembo caliper would look great to the blue and the bitubo shock.

Try a search on this forum, and you will find the results. Many years ago, when I first proposed the mod, P M Tuning tested it on a dyno and found 1/3 hp increase right across the rev range. Doesn't sound like much, but you can feel the difference. Not bad for a mod you can do with ac pocket knife!

I just got mine and the Bitubo instructions say to mount it that way, doing mine this week including rears and Malossi RX exhaust

I have the bitubo front and the mech fixed it on the same way as him too.

Works fine since just be extra careful when tightening the caliper bolt not to damage the tonal ring.
