Hello! I'm glad to have found this forum which seems to be very informative.

I'm a mod addict and would like to know what mods are out there for the MP3?

Ex: Look cooler, faster, lighter etc...

All mods are welcome and thanks for your input Scooter emoticon

Forum member "klaborde" is probably the best one that I have seen on this forum to answer your question. He has does quite a bit of upgrades and installs to his 2016 MP3-500. He is a regular on this forum and will probably post a reply to this thread sometime tomorrow or the next day.

Have you done anything to your MP3 yet? I highly recommend getting a set of footpeg floorboards so you can add highway pegs. They (along with my custom seat) made all the difference in the world to my comfort while riding my older MP3-500.

Lighting - HID/Xenon lighting kits. Usually requires removing the front panels to install the ballasts for the HID bulbs

Exhaust - Leo Vince or Akropovic exhausts are the most popular for better sound. I am running a Leo Vince Gran Tourismo muffler on my 400 and enjoy the new sounds over the stock exhaust and it is much lighter than stock. Can expect no more than about 1hp over stock but it will breath a little better up top.

Variator - Dr. Pulley is the way to go for a lot better take off, but you will need to research what the 500 guys are running in terms of weight and what will be best for you.

Rear Dampers - Hagans seem to be the choice for lowering the rear just a bit and running a harder spring. Maskor states they are working on a Front Damper solution, but i recall this will be closer to the end of the year before something really comes of this.

As for cooler looks, that opens up endless possibilities of what you are willing to do.

hope this helps get you started.

My last two mods
A Givi Windscreen which is just tall enough to work well, for me. I am 6'2"

A top case from which is a Givi V46. I like this one as it looks good and mounts in a more forward location.

Welcome to the Group....

I love to do Mods that are "Classy Scooter emoticon " that look like OEM Upgrades.
If I change out any of the Parts, I keep the stock ones so I can return the Bike back to Stock. I hate to do anything that involves "Drilling Crying or Very sad emoticon "...

Thanks for all the input. So, I just purchased a top case that comes with a universal mount. The rack on the MP3 looks really small. Will the universal mount be fine or I would need a specific MP3 mount?

Also, did anyone tried to modify the front headlight, so that both lights go on instead of one?

I really love my MP3 and I'm glad I found this forum.

Thanks

Learn to use Search on MV, plenty information available like the Headlight Mod, Lowering the bike with different shocks, etc.

Floor boards
I see that floor boards are recommended but I don't see where they can be purchased. Can anyone give me a link or a hint. Thanks.
