Modern Vespa

I need to either buy one or have a scooter checked with the service scan-tool.. 2010 GTS300.

Anyone know where a use done can be bought ? How about a new one ?

For $1500 you can buy one from Scooter West. but why not just take it to the dealer? Once you have it you wont be able to update the firmware so it's just a code read at that point. You can't update the scooter FW without being connect to Piaggio.

well ok ... that's a start. Was hoping to get in under $100 for a used something but ... closest dealership is about 2 hours away.

1st thing I need it for is to reset the idle air/throttle position sensor reading and/or check the O2 function. Seems to be idling too low. Runs well, does not stall.

You know it's Italian....

Call scooterwest and ask if it will do what you want. Idle speed is 1,650 rpm; do you have any warning lights?

One other idea, if you put a location in you profile maybe you can get a group buy together with some locals.

ECU Communications Project

I've tried some of it. It's been a while, but as I remember I could read some ID numbers, engine RPM, and maybe temperature etc. with OBD software. If anyone knew the reset codes, this may work for you.
