For $1500 you can buy one from Scooter West. but why not just take it to the dealer? Once you have it you wont be able to update the firmware so it's just a code read at that point. You can't update the scooter FW without being connect to Piaggio.

Call scooterwest and ask if it will do what you want. Idle speed is 1,650 rpm; do you have any warning lights?

One other idea, if you put a location in you profile maybe you can get a group buy together with some locals.

I've tried some of it. It's been a while, but as I remember I could read some ID numbers, engine RPM, and maybe temperature etc. with OBD software. If anyone knew the reset codes, this may work for you.
