Simply the most comfortable bike ever. Sadly though it meant the demise of the Trek Pure. Another stellar ride.

Love the Townies! A 24" wheeled Townie has allowed my short statured, 73 year old mother to keep bicycling after a bike accident broke her wrist last year. Being able to flat foot the bike gave her the confidence to get back on. Both my in-laws have now bought Townies for the same reason!

You are going to love that bike! It brings back memories of the first freedom you felt on a Schwinn Stingray. Now you just need a Brooks B190 or B135 saddle for it. Some might think it's mad to spend nearly on the saddle as you did on the bike but when you combine the Townie with the Brooks, your butt will think it's on vacation every time you are out for a ride.

You have a lot more room in your garage. I am going to put my trek bike on hooks and hang it. Same with the weed wacker.

Who was the cretin who first decided that bike manufacturers could get away with not fitting mudguards and a bell to a "town" bike? He probably designed motorbikes with chain drive but no centre stands, before moving on to cafe racers.

They were designing bikes on the side while being primary designer of Harley aftermarket exhaust systems. Scourge of the western world!
