I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to post repair and tuning information here.

I bought a 2003 ET2 that had been sitting outside in Massachusetts for five years and using this forum, I got it running for my wife.

It cost $100 and I had to remove the motor, replace the starter motor, coil, battery, lockset and fuel-tap as well as take apart the fork, clean and lubricate the bearings.

In the process, I broke the cable splitter and had to replace that also.

Once everything was back together, I used a bunch of Dellorto tuning tips to get it started and eventually running at speed.

I've got quite as bit of plastic to source and replace since the scooter was stolen years ago and the front plastic was all smashed up.

Last item is the rear wheel won't hold air, so it's coming off for testing and cleaning. I'll likely pull the front off to clean the brakes also.

I would not have been able to do all this without all your work documenting your trials, failures and successes.

Thank you, and ride on!

Aloha and welcome to the forum from Hawaii. I lived in MA (Pittsfield) for a few years nd then moved to Canaan NY, which is on the border. I'm a honorary MA peep. This form is invaluable. Got any pics of the ET? we love pics. BTW the ET'S are a great scooter. Do you ride?

I ride a 1995 Tomos Targa from my house to the subway every day.
This is a scooter for my wife to ride to her job.

I'll get a google photo folder together of the take-apart and rebuild.
