Hello,

My glove compartment box keeps flying open when I drive.

Any advice?

Cheers!

Close it? Razz emoticon

But in all seriousness it's probably something as simple as the cord that opens it is always stuck in the "open" position. It probably just needs to be taken off and put back on correctly.

Maybe the rubber seal that goes around the edge is out of place and stopping it closing properly. Check that and the latch mechanism for damage etc.

Aloha and welcome to the forum from Hawaii. On the LX ( i have one '07) you have to push the key in when it's in the ignition to open it. Maybe your accidentally pushing it in when you start it. Just make sure it's shut before you start out. I never use mine either but mine never wants to open. Good luck

There a vid on u tube, for when it doesn't open, it turns out to be the catch, BUT to adjust it (just 2 screws) you have to dismantle half the body. have a search on u tube, good luck

The glovebox on my et4 has similar problems, even when locked properly it still loves to fling open the moment I hit a dip in the road or go over a bump. I put a piece of duct tape on it and ignore the problem. Razz emoticon
