Along those same lines, I ran over to the liquor store to get some beer a little while ago on the Sprint. Putting a six pack into the legshield rack, something poked a tiny hole in one of the cans. I realized it when I took off and the vibration shook the can enough to cause it to start spraying all over my legs and dripping onto the scoot.

So I did the only reasonable thing I could do in that situation. I pulled over into the first parking lot, cracked that puppy open, and slammed it.

Like I said: I turned out okay. Razz emoticon

My brother and I often wonder how we are alive.

My Dad used to play a "game" with us that involved knives and a test of wills. We would start out facing one another with our feet together. Your opponent would throw a knife as close to your foot as possible. If you moved your foot you lost, if you didn't flinch you'd pull the knife out of the lawn and put your foot over where the knife came out of the lawn, progressively moving your legs wider. The winner of the game was the person who didn't flinch or who caused the other to fall as your legs became further and further apart. This was of course all done shoeless while drinking hose water. Good times.

I did that for years. Now that I have been retired for a bit over a year, I still have at least 3 more years ahead of me of home maintenance that I put off. Still working on scoots, though.

As best I recall, Hot and 100% Humidity Season in Houston runs from mid-April to late March, so hang in there for a little bit longer.

Meanwhile, here in the climate paradise of Nashville, I got a personalized box from Scooter Mercato. Dave must be sensing a new project starting to percolate (and he might even be right... ).

The GL is back in action. It wasn't the CDI, it was a worn wire from the stator.

Now I can maybe finish getting the carb tuned for the Malossi box I put on it several months ago.

Still a heck of a bike. Pulls wheelies in 2nd with a flick of the throttle, but a lot quieter than the BooBadge. I'm glad it's back in the rotation.

Li150 Series 3. All stock. Started second kick after we unloaded it off the van. Other than new tires and some cable greasing, I'm riding it as-is for a bit to get the feel, then J.J. and I are going to Do Things to the motor. Razz emoticon

Wow may need to sell a Vespa or 2 or refinance the house to afford the parts for the Lammy seem twice that of a Vespa. Congrats time to renew the LCUSA membership.

I know where it could go, but for now, I'm just testing the waters. My plan is for it to be a fast tourer and Lammy-specific rally bike.

And I actually probably am going to sell a couple of Vespas, but that's just to make room in the workshop.

I really like the look of this. it almost looks like you got it Army Surplus somehow. I'm glad you're leaving it as-is, only motor stuff, suspension etc and not gonna mess with the outside. Right?

Absolutely no external changes! I love the Army Surplus look of it. And since I was running low on rat bikes, this fills that gap nicely.

I tried to take the Oi! Mobile to the liquor store and got a block from my house before the left side cowl fell off.

Put it back on, kept going. Went another block and it died. Had gas, but wouldn't fire. Pushed it home, took the BooBadge to the liquor store

Came back and Oi! had pissed varnish smelling gas all over the workshop floor. It'll get some proper attention this weekend, but jeez...
