fire up the smallie bypass the fuel and its alive, luckly no major problems in the engine area so i dont need to buy anything beside the fuel hoses, the spark plug holder, and a condensor.. now start saving to buy paint

If you have the money (and I don't) you can buy a camera that takes really nice pics.. this is only my flashlight and a tiny flashlight as a light sources..

If I had the full res file, you could read the writing on the light bulb in the headlight..

P200's been giving me grief since I went to the Kheper. First the harness connectors showed their age and broke off on my last ride home. Replaced them with fresh ones and had several die-outs on the way in today. Pulled the dreaded green wire and still 2 more stalls. At this point, it's down to the Kheper or to the stator wires themselves (red,yellow, green). Trying to keep the Kheper on for the ride home since I've set the stator to 22 degrees which is a bit much for the higher compression I'm running. I'm thinking I'll swap it over before I go home though, as the days are shorter and I don't want to swap it in the dark. Light throttle all the way home, whoo hoo.

Crap, for some stupid reason I pulled the spare CDI out of the glovebox . What kind of idiot does that?

The disc setup looks great Vader- what have you got going on there? I'm looking at my options whilst keeping a closed rim.

Made it home, it's not the green wire, and dies in pass through and retard mode on the Kheper. Next up reset the timing and inspect the stator wires for rubs, the reinstall the regular CDI.

If I can get it to stop I will email Kheper for support.

I was mulling over getting the Kheper. Not so sure now. Curious to see how this plays out. Good luck. Hopefully Kheper can steer you right.

In all fairness the wiring in the area has had issues, so I will report back. Still, I'm 80% now that it's the cdi.

i woudnt mind a 60ssaab rebuilding the clutch on my 900 tomorrow, wish me luck

Today, I received my 4 piston radial caliper, for my P200E (Malossi 221). Waiting for more parts to come...

Said goodbye to my homeboy Thinh... he's going back to Saigon after 9 years in the states... told him to bring me a Vietnamese flag and pics of every Vespa he sees... Viva Vietnam!

Fit up my original CDI on the P200. Removed stator and inspected wiring for rubs - none. Looks like the Kheper will be the issue then. Installed new green wire because the old one was falling apart at the junction block. Not shorting out, but no longer allowing the key to work. Fished a new wire through, highly recommend using standard fish tape from under the horncast, went really easy to fish the wire this way.

All back together. Need less rain to get a longer ride, but it all seems OK so far. Will report back and then send something off to Kheper once I'm convinced the stalls are gone.

nice idea Bobo, but I don't run SI carbs... however.. the guy with the very nice small frame is one of your Countrymen... (Country-Men?) he's built some really nice bikes over there in OZ..

I looked everywhere on the net and couldn't find a clear (transparent) small frame door.. doesn't mean they'e not out there.. I just couldn't find one..

... and yes.. I'm down for clear (transparent) bits... they may force some people to keep stuff CLEAN!

so who has the clear carb box cover? Thinking that would be a good way to see what's going on with the bellmouth and uni-filter.

I had one on my sprint. It was an impulse buy. I saw Dave from Scooter Mercato at Amerivespa in New Orleans and picked one up from him there.
The plastic is not clear clear and it's very hard to keep clean. With the filter off you can see some of what's going on's when the carb is doing it's thing.

Yesterday I got a Vespa related tattoo.
Some people like tattoos, some people don't. I do.

Well I had gotten the Stella to run a few seconds a few days ago on some carb cleaner sprayed down the carb, so today I got some fresh gas and starting fluid. Drained the tank but didn't drain the carb, because it has to be removed to drain, figuring I could work all the old gas out while getting it to run. Started it a few times on starting fluid but it would only run until the fluid ran out, then stop, no sputtering or anything. Figure if the old gas was going to be worked out, it would have been by now. So it looks like the jets are probably clogged, so I bought one of those gallon paint can carb cleaning kits. So know I get to tear apart the carb a clean it. That's what I get for forgetting to drain the tank and carb, and leaving gas in them for a year and a half.
