Still sanding this bus. Almost ready for primer. Hoping to get the paint on before leaving for California the first week of July.

Got me a Junk Hauler!! 1959 F100! 6cyl inline 223, 3 on the tree. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops great!

As a teen I had one of these as my daily driver for many years. Hauled alot of scoot's and more around Socal in that thing! Now I'm back in an old truck seat as it should be. Looking forward to cruisin and hauling some cool scooters and junk!

* ignore all the other cool junk in the pics. Not my junk as I'm not that cool

That truck is awesome. I've been looking for some sort of hauler vehicle like that for a while, but I was thinking more along the lines of an old Jeep Wagoneer.

So...related...anyone know if you can fit a scooter in the back of a wagoneer without having to lay it down or do other gymnastics?

RAD TRUCK!!! The very first thing i'd do with it is to search out a pair of used 1959 oregon plates and get them assigned to the truck…at the same time getting the truck registered as a Special Interest vehicle.

This might help with the searching for your plate options- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Oregon

Hell, that is a truck Fred Sanford may have driven!

Love it. Suck a find.

Well, this lathe made it home to my garage this weekend. It's not the prettiest but it's true. Quite the ordeal to squeeze it into my garage of horrors. Who would've thought my wideframe engine mount staking tool would come to the rescue for the final lowering. Digital readout is on the way. Im exhausted.

I also have the requirement that I can use it to ferry dogs around, which basically mandates some sort of four door (more accurately, three windows, not counting the driver's). A Grand Wagoneer would be ideal because other than probably needing to fix them, it has power windows for ease of lowering and raising.

I don't expect I'll do anything for a while (and knowing me, probably never) unless a real DotD fell into my lap.

Awesome get.

Funny thing about lathes - they are these big ass heavy machines that take up a whole wall - but the good ones are best at cutting small parts like custom shims for when your shifter tube rattles. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What an awesome tool.

House project continues.
This time HVAC.
Shockingly, managed to get way (way) out over my skis.

It went something like this:
6 figure bid twice what I budgeted > decided to try myself > winning the internet on HVAC system design> & decided it should be commercial grade > forcing me to learn design software > and source a place that would fabricate components > thinking I was home free > until they delivered and the sheer scale and complexity settled in...

The system design is so shoe horned in to the structure with 1/2" clearances abounding, that it never occurred to me that I wouldn't be able to assemble in place (can't seal the ducts once inserted in joist bays) - which has lead me to coming up with a plan where I assemble the entire thing on the ground and then lift it into place. hahahaha. Skis meet chin.
The design - what could possibly go wrong?

Not to take away from the awesomeness of the solution, but let's not forget that he's solving a problem he also created. Razz emoticon Laughing emoticon

And the other thing that's maybe not totally obvious is that all the ceilings in that place are like 12 feet high, so it's not like he's just scampering up a standard six foot ladder to do this, either.
