So... what... oh yes the GeekLion is alive, and still making progress in life. Apologies for all those curious minds who have been waiting with anxious anticipation for my next update. Your patience will be rewarded.
The latest with my 1959 F100 'junk truck'. It's not so junky any more! Well, it still is; but atleast it looks a bit less so. I have with the help of a friend we polished the existing paint, repainted some parts, new tires, and fixed a bunch of little things to make it more road worthy. Just some initial things to get it cleaned up and on the road half way presentable. The original color of the truck was "Indian Turquoise", so the wheels and a few bits were painted in the color to pay homage. I think it looks great with the polished up maroon; which is very close to '59 Edsel Velvet Maroon. Of course there is still always more to do, but this one's purpose is not a project; just a fun ole rig I can cruise around and haul junk and scoots when needed.
Geek Lion in the wild! with my shined up 59 F100 @ Graffiti week car show here in Roseburg Oregon.
So Shiny
Sprayin the hood! I had the paint matched by a local friend at the paint shop, its a perfect match! Mixed and matched by hand and eye!!

Looking sharp!
Though now you might feel a bit guilty using it for dump runs. It'll definitely rock as a scooter hauler! |

Maiden voyage on the Supah-Cub.
A blast for sure. Still figuring out smooth feathering on down shifts. But, early returns on the fun meter are all the way in the red!

Someone let a box of finishing nails fall off their work truck on my route home from work yesterday. I saw then scattered all over the road, and found one I picked up a souvenir when I stopped at that corner. I still need to check if my tires picked up any souvenirs of their own.

Got another couple of puzzle pieces for the Indian project in. Working with my machinist buddy to make some new bearing cups for the tapered bearing conversion.
Now looking into 320mm rear shocks to help compensate for the longer forks. The increase in height will help if I want to go for 17" wheels and make it look less like a kids bike. The wheel set I was tentatively planning to buy has adios'ed, so now I'm looking at aftermarket supermoto options for Surron. There's something satisfying about pillaging the e-bike parts bins to restomod a little old 2T dirt bike.
Fork length increases by ~50mm. Fork diameter increases from 27mm to 30mm. Forks are hydraulic now and have fitments for a fork brace and a disc brake.

National event is over and vacation too. Tomorrow I go back to work and return to the usual routine (heads down as we say here). New patient on the lift. Friend's T5, needs new tires, steering column bearings, battery and electrical tests (possible overcharging from regulator), replace the current mirrors with a pair of old school Vitaloni Ferrari type ones and some general TLC...
