I did the storage space boogaloo.
Swapped spaces to get "the move in special". About 50% off for 6 months. Sucks no one will offer a 1 year contract anymore. After the special rate expires rent will go up every 3 or 4 months. Criminal. The bonus of the space is the way it is oriented to the door. The old space was a long deep cave where this one has better access to scoot storage.

8000 mile refresh on a p200 w/ malossi mhr kit. Surprisingly little to no wear! Clutch looks almost brand new, also.
I don't get it, out of all my scoots, this motor sees the most abuse, and least amount of maintenance. Hours of +80 mph smiles.

After a 200 mile break in using Italian air, I then strictly use English air, for all tuned engines.
Oddly , imported air remains unaffected by tariffs

That cylinder doesn't look like an MHR. And the piston is 2 ring. Any chance it might be an old cylinder?
+1 for no air filter. The extra performance outweighs the extra wear. |

Free puppy: Confirmed.
60psi of compression. Poked the borescope in the plug well. No obvious signs of damage. 9500 miles on the clock, so the rings are probably worn down. At least I salvaged the battery, so that's a tick mark in the plus column. I'll do something stupid to it later, but it'll get a basic rebuild for now when time permits. I need more time off without any holidays or familial obligations... In other news, I finally got the KLX owner to agree to a new wiring harness, after much hemming and hawing. He couldn't argue when I put that mess in his hands.
That's not a good prize.
Just looks a bit tired in there. At least the arrow is pointing to the exhaust. The thing in the middle looks to be an "A".

Also, the cancer on wheels, called PK125S Automatica made its way to me. I've been avoiding it for over a year now having been called by a lot of friends but my answer was always firm, I'm not doing work on these... At one point my father was called by a friend of his and told him he had a Vespa that needed some TLC. I came home from work and there it was. I told my father it's his problem now...

Over the weekend, I decided to replace the rear turn signals and battery on the GL. The battery was no longer holding a charge, so I replaced it with a Lithium battery about the size of a paperback book.
For the turn signals, I fabricated a new bracket by bending welding a piece of aluminum bar stock onto a piece of tubing which I tapped on each end for the signals to screw into. Paint it black and bolt it on.

I've been thinking about this for some time now, currently (pun intended) I use a 2ah SLA battery that just fits into the space behind the tank. They last a couple of years. I've been thinking a (nominal) 12v LifePo4 with a built-in BMS would be good there, the type with the individual cells. |
