Making shop time during the week again too, since we have a heater there. Will try to go one weeknight and on Saturday mornings.

Lift is close to being cleared and I have my first-pass parts list for Mercato.

Not too much done with the Rally cause I've also been under 'End Customer FTTH/R Deployment' training since early December. Starting from next week I'll do my first 'alone' scheduled visits. It was about time since I'm tired with the old copper line (ADSL / FTTC - VDSL) problems...

Anyways, finished with the rails, horn, front drum reassembly and two pics from an installation I did yesterday (installation is done with Huawei's FTTR transparent fiber cable, a really brilliant toolkit)...

Started working on house projects. But not the most pressing ones of course. Decided to start stripping and refinishing the pocket shutters I removed after we bought the house. They are all full of lead paint so I bagged them and took them to the basement. Brought up the first 3 bags (9 total shutters) and got started.

Main reason for this is we have my sons hockey net set up in the dinning room in front of a bay window with brand new windows
Forgot we had the pocket shutters till last week! The windows shall be safe shortly!

Gonna sand them then lacquer them up and reinstall them. Can't wait. They were one of my favorite features of the house when we looked at it. Rare to find them in even ok condition anymore in houses.

I hope your going to share a photo when its finished and pit back on the house!

It's like cleaning an old Vespa engine after pulling it out of the chassis. Ignore the greasy booger before you and imagine the fresh clean aluminum that lies beneath!

The shutter you've finished stripping looks fantastic. While the goal is to save the windows, I hope the kidling doesn't bash up your work too soon!

Another excellent suggestion. Ill see how much the unit construction is modular when I remove the bezel. I have some silver hammerite kicking about in the garage somewhere

With such a beautiful build I would have gone with the SIP 2.1 Lusso style speedo…

I don't disagree, even as much grief as mine continues to give me, but it's $30 for the GPS Speedo vs $300 for the SIP.

Plus, I love all my hacked-in GPS speedo's. They all Just Work.

Besides the weak button (mine still works so far) and the total shit cht underplug probe, my SIP speedo for my GS is working perfectly. I even tuned the speedometer spot on. And yes, I love your conglomerate of gauges!

However the chaps budget doesn't stretch to it. The broken speedo was a freebie and for 30 he will have something that just works

That and I like to do things a bit off fhe wall sometimes.
