Posted this to General Discussion, but figured I'd share the job. When it comes to brake fluid, particularly silicon-based fluids and DOT 5, don't cross the streams.

Gonna try boiling the diaphragms to get the contaminants out and see if they'll return to size.

Got a unicorn fart on the mail today. Had to buy an old autolube pump with it, but I've rebuilt a few Mikuni variable volume pumps by way of my crappy bike crusades.

Still not working on it, but I'm ticking items of my list of "missing/broken bits".

Got back Sunday from a week long family vacation in Heidelberg, Germany. Just before leaving, did a solid push on my bus painting. Finished everything orange; small parts, door jambs and corrections. What's left: Bumpers and rims. Final cutting and buffing. Re assembly. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Had every intention of running another heat cycle on the new P200 build yesterday.

Alas, thunderstorms came in again. We are in that summer pattern where it rains everyday about the time I can get out to the garage. Harumphhh.

Sitting at the gate in Jackson, Mississippi airport to fly to Atlanta then to Omaha. Can't wait to resume jetting on Veronica this weekend! I will check cylinder, head, and exhaust stub bolts for tightness first. Just a sanity check since the engine now has 100 miles on it.
BTW, the heat and humidity here is brutal! 🥵

It's hot in the Arizona metro areas, so a couple of buddies and I took a ride up to the Mogollon Rim, visiting Payson, Christopher Creek, Show Low and Globe. Rode back into a furnace when we hit the East Valley, so we met some friends for dinner and waited for temps to fall a little. I had a crazy detour in the south-southeast corner of the Valley to get around a road closure on Hunt Highway.

Left at 6:15A, got back at 12:30A with 545 more miles on the clock.
