the taillight on my scoot is the chromed plastic type and when I stumbled over the SF metal taillight on scootermercato...had to click BUY asap! Going to be much nicer than the chromed plastic one for sure! https://www.scootermercato.com/Scooter-Parts/Taillight-Assemblies/78641-SIEM 🥳

This followed me home at the weekend from the other workshop.

1998 T5 Classic- wirh added disk conversion. Its mostly standard apart from a SIP 2.0 exhaust and auto lube delete, YSS front and Rear, It does however have the original factory mirrors attached

Plan is to add a standard seat, swap the indicators at the front to orange. Ride it for a bit and pass it on.

Man this snowblower…

Put her all back together and still won't start. Spark is good, there's gas in the carb bowl so flow to there is fine. Electric starter turns. Has compression. Etc etc.

So I think I'm gonna try the predator swap. It's only $149 which still puts my total cost WAY less than buying a running one. Just have to figure out the pulley adapter. My pulley has a key built into it and the sleeves use a big key to secure it to the shaft. So not sure how to solve for that yet.

It has spark, but is the plug getting wet?

Does it sputter if you shoot something combustible down the intake?

Tried pouring gas in the spark plug hole and still nothing. I'm pretty confused.

How much compression is it making?

Are you sure the valves are fully closed? Is the valve lash in spec at TDC?

I'll check the compression psi tomorrow. But if I hold my thumb on the spark plug hole while firing it forces my thumb off the head.

Not 100% sure about the valves. I'll look for their spec now.

I pulled the crusty black plug out of my bike and replaced it with a brand new NGK B7hs. No start. Carb spray spritz. No start. Checked this and that. No start.

Put that crusty old plug back in. One kick, starts right up.

Maybe try another plug just to rule it out.

Argued with my Moby for about 3 hours over its refusal to run. Fuel, spark, compression. Thought maybe it'd slipped timing. Its just being rude though. Banished it to the corner of shame.
Had to call the filth to come inspect my trailer so I can get a plate on it before the ride Saturday. Got the lighting hooked up wired into my car.
Dropped the engine out of the Stella and started putting my Covid engine in but it was getting late and I couldn't get the pivot bolt to go without a hand.

My Tecumseh, same as yours, gave me fits once while snow blowing into the wind. It would stall only while snow blowing into the wind an would run fine snow blowing down wind. Turned out I had a crack in the HT lead about 3" from the spark plug cap. The crack was causing an arc to ground on a cylinder head cooling fin. When snow drifted on top of the engine, and melted, the path to ground was made. I added a piece of heat shrink tubing to the HT lead and it's been good for years. Your HT lead is routed between two head cooling fins under the electric start switch then is routed under the flywheel cover. You may have spark while holding the plug in your hand but when the plug is installed with the cap on the HT lead will be closer the cooling fins and could be grounding out. I found the HT lead arcing to ground by pull starting at night in the dark. Then I was able to see the arcing to ground. Carefully inspect the HT lead for cracks or wear due to rubbing and vibration.

Hec
Remove Electric Starter Switch and inspect HT lead underneath and where it runs under flywheel shroud for cracks.

Not that much unfortunately, around 30000hp is more likely. If math still serves... 🤔

1. Feed a clutch cable or similar up from the bottom
2. Slip the speedo outer over the clutch cable from the top
3. Pull the speedo outer through from the bottom with the clutch cable
4. Take out the clutch cable, drop the speedo inner from the top

If it takes much longer than 5 minutes, you're doing it wrong.

I was offered s*x today by this really attractive lady, In exchange for that I was supposed to advertise some kind of bathroom cleaner on my Facebook. Of course I declined cause I am a person of high moral standards with a strong willpower.

Just as strong as Ajax, the super strong bathroom cleaner. Now available in lemon and vanilla scent.

I've been thinking about doing away with our above ground pool for a while as keeping up with maintenance has been overwhelming this year. Yesterday one of our cats fell in and couldn't get out. Luckily my wife was outside at the time and rescued her.

Decision made.

Now just to convince wifey that without the pool I have that much more room for scooters.

Dang! Lucky cat just used one of its 9 lives. I had a small hockey rink set up one year for my son and before the water froze we had to fish out 7 dead squirrels. Apparently they can't swim.

Our eldest cat has fallen in before but got himself right out but he's a shorthair and half feral. The little girl is a Siberian, probably, and we think her hair just soaked up so much water that she couldn't float.
