If using Chrome, someone recently posted a fix, which works for me, here:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-embedded-imag/ogipgokcopooepeipngiikdkpmcpkaon

Probably other apps in 'related' for other browsers if using something else.

I see that 'Flikr' are being taken over by 'SmugMug' now , so anticipate similar problems with them to follow; 1Tb and third-party image hosting for free bound to be under threat.

Cheers for the info mate, but I'm just gonna use my imagination and guess it was a picture of Jacko sunning himself in his birthday suit while scooting through the streets of Dublin with a pint of the black stuff in his hand Laughing emoticon

Use Imgur to host my pics and stuff now that photobucket is fucking useless.

I've never seen this one before
My coworker and fellow scooterist had a mishap on his way in today. He managed to stay upright and stop safely. But, he lost his hub at 40mph. Once it was towed in, this is what I found. P200

Wha? emoticon

OMG, lucky coworker!

Pretty scary business, remember the kid who left out the rear cotter pin & lost his wheel at lower speed? Ask him if he knows whether the nut was installed w/ a torque wrench or a rattle gun? And if he has launched off any taller than usual curbs or out of any deep potholes lately.Take a look at the fracture under a magnifying glass and see if you can tell if it was cracked for a while before it let go.

I asked if his hub was worn/wobbly and he said "don't think so". No bumps. Just got squirelly. He rode it out on the backing plate like an ice skate. Literally no engine contact at all. But, the axle stub, nut and cotter key were all safely contained in the cap, which remained on the hub. And hand tight. I might rethink my breaker bar when tightening my hub next time.

We're going to give the stub to a metallurgist we know here. Should be interesting.

I will take a few more pics. The backing plate is pretty impressive.

I missed out on a nice T5 in Greece by a few days 3 or 4 years ago. If this was closer and if I had managed to sell off 2 or 3 of mine for the space and cash..... I could be a player. A T5 is about the only thing left on my Vespa bucket list. Also, I should know, but did they make a P200 w/ disk brake? If so, then that too.

I also painted (dark grey to black) & also thought it would wipe off.
5000km later there are scratches (I think from boots while climbing on) & a worn patch at the front from sitting etc... But overall I'm pretty impressed, & all it really needs is a quick respray.

Grabbed a px seat and new cover for low $ on scoot.net, mines tearing and I've avoided doing anything about it due to the budget on the performance stuff for that bike. Was going to get my cords seat recovered locally but this is an even better deal.

Got to work with a friend's Rally today. It's a US body, PX engine with a Malossi 210 Sport, autolube and a BGM Big Box Sport. Euro spec headlight etc. He bought her 3 months ago. He had trouble shifting and he eventually got stuck with 3rd gear. At first we thought he had a snapped cable but the reason was a broken gear tube. I machined a second tube to go inside, welded them together and it worked great. I also got to straighten up his wires at the headlight. The guy that worked on them had the "fine" idea to connect all the white wires together, so when you needed to take out the speedo, you just couldn't. I split them and connected them on the bridge connector, like they were meant to be...

Looks like I should have bought a better cruciform...

This is a year-old OEM-grade cruciform that I put in my Stella when I did the BGM 177/long stroke rebuild.

Clearly, it was not up to the task. Sadly, it made this decision when I was a fair ways from home and on my way to a group ride. I managed to limp home with only first and 4th gear, but it made for a hell of a day.

Replacement will be a Crimaz, which in theory is up to the task. It'll probably shred the gears now, instead, so in another year, I'll be dropping $500 on a stack of hardened race gears.

Oh, and I threw a SIP RoadXL into the order, because clearly this motor is not producing enough power.
The cruciform doesn't normally come as a two-piece set, does it?

I think your stock gears will be fine using that Crimaz cross. I used a DRT cross for 3-4 seasons in my stock P200 track bike (I loved it, and i'll never go back to stock). Even though my scoot has a stock engine, the transmission was put through VERY abusive use. I didn't see any accelerated wear on my stock EFL gears that the DRT cross caused. I highly recommend that combo. I'm guessing some people here will argue otherwise, but this is only from first hand experience...perhaps someone with second hand input has more insight? Perhaps I had some sort of super strong transmission that Piaggio accidently manufactured?

Good to hear a thumbs up for the Crimaz cross.

My gears look OK, even though I've been beating the hell out of them since 2005, and that's after wearing though multiple cruciforms.

I had to order a wider gear shim, but worst case, I seem to open this motor up about every year or 18 months, so I'll fix it then.

I just saw this on facebook... people always seem to be looking for smallframe battery doors. He's selling them for 50 pounds UK. Richard Galloway from Barnsley.
