Those guys autographs are Macklemore and Ryan Lewis a couple musicians from Seattle that put on a sold out show in town. Check out their music video Downtown. We were asked to be in it but my husbands work got in the way.

Got to try the SIP 4.2 slide in my 24.24 carb. I've been chasing a high RPM low load spark knock condition (5500+ RPM). It seems (knock on wood) to have finally done the trick. I couldn't shove any more idle jet at it or it had starting and idle issues, so I was looking for an air side trick. Highly recommend if you end up with this kind of issue.

Al opened the chamber a bit for me as well, it's running about 125PSI right now vs the 145 on my homemade version where I lapped it down and didn't adjust the chamber. I expect it to go up a bit when I correct the barrel side to get the rest of the squish (2.25 to 1.5mm). I think it will land right in the 140ish area and be fine.

I don't really own that backpack. I have to wonder what website or shop it originated. Then that got me wondering where in China was it made and the assembly line of 17 year old girls that have to attach the pubic hair on to the balls. Poor kids, they probably haven't seen a real set in their lives and they see balls all day. 8 days a week, 10 hours a day. They go to bed at night, close their eyes and see balls. Balls, balls, balls...

I don't have a garage so the bikes live up the side of the house. Today I built a cover structure for them. Any ideas on an easy way to enclose the ends? Thinking maybe fixing a length of canvas I could roll up and down.

Cheers modkuo. I don't know what happened to Sydney but it's crazy expensive now. Real estate is insane. The only way my kids will ever be able to afford property here is when the wife and I die and they sell our house.

Nice Bob... I see you're hanging on to the PX (...from my cold, dead hands...).
I've seen billboards given away - I mean the stuff they print billboards on and also use for sides of trucks. That stuff would probably last for ever. Maybe contact a sign printing company? |

Those Bunnings blinds could be good. I'll check out what sizes they have. Still holding on Michael. The wife asked what was going on with selling it the other day. Told her I wasn't getting any interest and she wasn't too fussed. Gonna do my best to keep it.

WOW.....Sydney Real Estate is more expensive than San Diego, here we just hit a median price of 575K. I can barely afford a house, you are right...the kids will have a hard time of it. Wages here do not support the housing costs at all.
Cheers Guys! |

I finally got a chance to see why the Stella has been running like crap.
I knew it had a bad fly side seal, but I replaced that last week and things didn't improve, so I figured something had come loose and was causing an air leak. There was oil all over the clutch side of the engine casing, so I knew something more was going on than just the fly side seal. And there was: a folded base gasket. FML. ![]() I can see how that would make a mess of things, though... I ordered a new base gasket, but in the meantime, I bodged a replacement out of an empty diet coke can and threw it in there. Cleaned things up a bit, then buttoned it all back up and with a little carb tuning, it's running as well as it has in some time. |

80s throwback
Found this today while clearing out old boxes. Hazy recollection of seeing them at san diego state and then tower records for an autograph session. Then scooting to their hotel and making it into the afterparty..

Start the pink vespa and plan to take my wife on a ride, seeing my bike abit dirty after leaving it a week in my mother in law house. i have a hunch that something isnt right, since i didnt want to offend my wife so i check the fuel and it was empty, ask my wife does someone or something ride my bike.. she said her brother did, not that i am angry for that but i still feel something not right and finally i realize my rear drum nut in on a loose, ask the dude and he said he didnt used to ride on a 12' rims and test it on a rough soil without using the nut safety pin, i ask again why did u take off the pin, he didnt answer and i look to his eyes and said typical human.. back to tighten the bolt and put the safety pin on and went home to exchange the bike, angry yes but cannot show it to my wife as i imagine what if i didnt realize it and something bad happen to mr and my wife, well i guess i taken the lesson.
Have a safe ride to you all and cheer |

Either way I still need more. I'm at 2.2 mm squish or a smidge more, will still need barrel trimmed. Interesting thought though.

I shaved a full millimeter off a DR head by lapping it with emery paper on glass. It took about half an hour and I used copper spray seal to reinstall it. It's was the only DR head I've ever run that didn't leak a little.
I'd have done the same thing with this Malossi if it didn't have the o-ring groove in it. When I get some time, I'll re-check squish with this new setup and, depending on how much it needs to come down, possibly do the malossi head anyway. |
