An old colleague of my father who has a motorcycle shop, called him and told him he has some Vespa stuff he wanted to get rid of since he never worked on them. They were left there by his late uncle when he dismantled and scrapped his rotten P. I went to see what he got and returned home with the following and 100€ less in my wallet...
Complete P200 lump, rear hub / wheel, FAR vintage exhaust and a complete 16mm front fork... ![]() ![]() ![]()

To be fair, the Buzzetti levers that SIP copied also had this issue, but SIP gives themselves an "AA" rating on these. seems like they could have used the design time they used to add their logo to fix them so they actually fit.
The Buzzetti design does have the best dogleg with range of pull and ergonomics... may have to design and make my own sometime. |

Whereshaldo... I added a PVC pipe, sealed at the bottom, to hold a pen, glasses and, as a sign of the times, a face mask. There's also a $20 stuffed down in there in case I find a Roadhouse and am underfunded... but don't tell anyone.

Finally getting back on track for garage time and parts acquisition. Lost some shop space due to a tenant taking over the small space on the back side of our space, so all the junk is piled everywhere now. Chasing down some of my Compact parts from a shop in Deer Valley. May have to drive up and get them...adios one tank of gas.
Trying my hand at sight glass replacement. My crappy Kymco motorcycle needed a new one. Yay Arizona UV! Oh, and my buddy's $100 C70 Passport. Because variety. ![]() It actually looks like a decent buy. 9800 miles, good compression. Tank isn't rusty. Paint might buff out.
![]() The fiddliest bit was getting the compression ring out without marring the sealing surface.
