An old colleague of my father who has a motorcycle shop, called him and told him he has some Vespa stuff he wanted to get rid of since he never worked on them. They were left there by his late uncle when he dismantled and scrapped his rotten P. I went to see what he got and returned home with the following and 100€ less in my wallet...

Complete P200 lump, rear hub / wheel, FAR vintage exhaust and a complete 16mm front fork...

Well, P200 motors are becoming rare here too, cause our German "friends" are buying everything they can. I know a German guy who lives in Katerini, who buys P200 / PX200 motors for cheap and flipping them for 1k on the German market. Advertised as "Rare 12PS" since the Germans got the "muffled" 8PS versions...

The "no papers" thing is a painful story thanks to our stupid Greek laws Crying or Very sad emoticon Crying or Very sad emoticon

Rode a scooter for the first time in about 10 weeks today. First time pain free in about 6 months.

Not supposed to ride for another 3 weeks or so, but couldn't help it. The shitbox needed to stretch her legs! Was good.

Took 0.74mm off new dogleg levers to bring them into spec, but they are now installed and feel great

dropping this here for reference:
'74 Rally 200 front brake cable housing is 1155mm long.

Was a grade B part, now it's a grade A as it fits.

To be fair, the Buzzetti levers that SIP copied also had this issue, but SIP gives themselves an "AA" rating on these. seems like they could have used the design time they used to add their logo to fix them so they actually fit.

The Buzzetti design does have the best dogleg with range of pull and ergonomics... may have to design and make my own sometime.

Whereshaldo... I added a PVC pipe, sealed at the bottom, to hold a pen, glasses and, as a sign of the times, a face mask. There's also a $20 stuffed down in there in case I find a Roadhouse and am underfunded... but don't tell anyone.

Plan B: check into a cheap motel and have a new pipe overnighted.

Plan C: give us your coordinates & someone'll run a loaner pipe out to you.

The most valid comment ever. Stated as grade A, comes as grade B, ends up as grade A.

It's always a Slightly Imperfect Part.

He's a Dunlop ScootSmart guy. Rear tyre is different (reinforced)...

I don't know why I find that so funny. I was thinking I'd just grab some small diameter steel rod, like 1/16" or so next time I was at the hardware store, so Patrick is way ahead of both of us.

Finally getting back on track for garage time and parts acquisition. Lost some shop space due to a tenant taking over the small space on the back side of our space, so all the junk is piled everywhere now. Chasing down some of my Compact parts from a shop in Deer Valley. May have to drive up and get them...adios one tank of gas.

Trying my hand at sight glass replacement. My crappy Kymco motorcycle needed a new one. Yay Arizona UV!

Oh, and my buddy's $100 C70 Passport. Because variety.
It actually looks like a decent buy. 9800 miles, good compression. Tank isn't rusty. Paint might buff out.

The fiddliest bit was getting the compression ring out without marring the sealing surface.
