Getting there with my cousin's PX. This was a mix, PX frame with a P headset and harness, so now that we're also installing the disc brake we decided to turn it to a complete PX. So, a new tank with a fuel sensor is getting installed along with a PX SIP speedo. Engine's in, finished with the extra wiring...

Mac, now you are officially a Vespa 2T tuner! You can now set up a lucrative side hustle to finance your project!
I was almost considering this sexy electric scooter to round out my fleet, but I had second thoughts about their attention to detail and how long it might last . |

I don't know about that particular scooter, but I can tell you the Zero motorcycles are a hoot to ride. Low down torque of a Harley on take off with the acceleration of a liter bike. I just need someone to gift me 20 large to buy. 😝

The Sprint200 is back on the road, welded muffler, new cruciform and 2nd gear. While I was at it, I actually semi-installed* the CHT/Tach that I've had on the shelf for it.
This motor is a freakin' ice cube. It's 100 degrees out, so even hotter on the road, I was my usual less-than-gentle self while riding (gotta test out that rebuilt gearbox, amirite?), and the CHT under the plug never got above 230F. Just the thing for my shopping trolley. * Semi-installed is the sensors installed and the display strapped to the headset with velcro. Wires still outside the frame, though. And probably will be for a while if I'm being honest. |

Decided it was time to reorder the garage a bit to make more room. Shifted all sorts of stuff, threw stuff into the box to take to the refuse transfer station and then started moving the scooters to get better access to the work bench. We have our son's Super here and it is reluctant to come off its stand, and to prove it decided to kick me heavily in the shin with the kick start lever. Ouch!

Today I took my motorcycle training course. I passed, bc of course I did.
Probably the highlight of my day was when they assigned bikes and the burly macho guy with the shitty goatee astride a Harley looked at the scooter I was on and asked how I got stuck with THAT one. "Oh… probably because I specifically requested it… Awkward, right?" Anyway, good times lol. Twist 'n go… It was like riding a vacuum cleaner.

Congrats Macgurk on passing. I think there's usually the same archetype of mucho macho Harley burlyman instructor at every motorcycle course.
Meanwhile, I rode to a swap meet today -- the Yankee Chapter of Antique Motorcycle Club of America's annual national meet -- and this item intrigued me: A Homelite chainsaw powered cycle. Besides that, a hundred amazing bikes of yesteryear that you don't see very often.

If you're gonna ride a chainsaw bike, it's gotta have somewhere to stash your BOOMSTICK. V oodoo wrote: why do you remind me here of Li'l Abner??? And now that I've paid off the motorcycle training mafia, I still gotta get to the DMV (probably Wednesday) and give them their pound of flesh. THEN I'll be legal. Probably take my Allstate with me for the VIN inspection/title. Redacted to protect the innocent.
Check out the registration fee.

Drove out Garncarz's way to pick up some Lancaster Lime Works lime mortar so I can repoint around my windows. They're the only place around that Carrie's lime based stuff so I went for a drive. Sure beat paying $135 for them to ship it. That stuff is wicked heavy. 5 gallons is 85 lbs!
Was expecting a Tractor Supply kind of place and I get there and it's literally their house. Loved it. Even more stoked I made the drive out to support them once I learned that. I don't think they get many "walk up" type buyers judging by how my son and I were there for 45mins just chatting. Beautiful day for the trip too.

Last time I had the Rally out for a ride I had an issue with the throttle sticking wide open occasionally, but it was getting worse day by day.
Assumed it was a warped carb body on the OG SI24/24E since the slide had shown signs of wear. So today I swapped in a new 24G, go it all buttoned up, took it out for a ride and... the throttle stuck wide open! Well it must be in the headset then... I think this is the original throttle cable, bummer to see it go.
