There been a LOT OF LOOSE TALK around these parts lately, about maybe perhaps sorta might-be-said could be possibly a fact that the new Ghostbusters flicker show might NOT be as bad as certain misogynist pimpleheads tottering around the internet might have us believe or hope it to be. Well, I am here to pose the question:

WAS THE ORIGINAL REALLY AS GOOD AS YOU REMEMBER IT ANYWAY? I mean, let's face it, "Okay. This chick is TOAST", really wasn't funny, didn't even qualify as a joke, and everyone over the age of 13 had PROBABLY stopped using that word on the regular by the time the movie came out; of course, the ear-splitting gales of laughter at Bill Murray's apparent high-point in his acting career might run contrary to my query, so who am I? Hey, it was a FUN movie. And really, we probably liked it so much because it sounded like it was going to one big steaming pile of hot garbage. Being "pleasantly surprised" carries a lot of weight in our memories and in the 80's it was EVERYTHING.

Then there was that song: never underestimate the power of a catchy (horrible) original song blasting to the top of the charts to carry an otherwise alright film an extra 47 weeks in theaters (Management acknowledges that the number of weeks posited here to be a likely exaggeration, but encourages readers to allow for artistic license for the sake of go bite yourselves ~Ooz Lang and Fran Catchassup).

What's the point here? That Kate McKinnon, by some reports, is all you need to know about the new Ghostbusters and its awesomeness. That this one might actually be just as funny or, dare it be said, even more funny than the original! And certainly more funny than the sequel and miles better than that cartoon I never watched, because: cheap, ugly-ass animation just is.

At any rate, where was I? OH. Aside from all of that, we thought we might get together tomorrow and talk Pokemon, show each other our dex, and try not to to step in any Pokepoop while we are at it. Beers, wings, and infantile regressive conversation to be enjoyed by all! Let's throw all the rules out the window and cross streams!!!
