Note the pic of shopping from a scooter. Now that's a drive thru!

BTW, the article is from a British newspaper: for the benefit of North American readers, a pavement is a sidewalk.

Very interesting piece, thanks. The main photo in the article is most fascinating: the couple on the Vespa appear to be enjoying themselves more than anyone else. (Well, yes, they also aren't wearing respirator masks, but still...)

When i was there (in Hanoi) there were 1,000's of Vespa's in all kinds of colors. Beautiful sight and sadly i lost my pics. Crying or Very sad emoticon Asians tend to wear the masks because of the pollution. China is worse. Especially Beijing. The Vespa dealer in HCMC was cool. They even got me a Piaggio salesman name tag with my name and the Piaggio logo. 8)
