I have read most of the threads on this issue and would appreciate any input concerning my situation. I have a 2009 MP3 500 and a 2001 gilera runner XP 180 2 stroke (what a rush that bike is). I have recently spent about $400 on little tune up stuff/ oil change plugs etc and am looking to do my own diagnosis before my mechanics start logging up diagnosis hours. The MP3 has been garage kept and usually parked with the fork lock engaged. It had only 300 miles on it when I bought it and about 600 now. I used to get the 5 beep warning when I turned the key to on but not when I engaged the locking switch. When I got the bike back from the shop (oil change plugs air filter) I get the 5 beeps both when turning the key to on and / or engaging the locking switch on the handle bars. I tried putting it on the center stand with the fork unlocked and now it does not beep when I start it but it does if I engage the fork lock. There is no mush or lean when the fork is locked. I don't know that a bad tilt lock low hydraulic pressure switch would start working again from putting it on the center stand nor the master cylinder. I'm wondering if it's something as simple as the forks needing to be bled, or possibly the tilt lock switch itself. There is also no leaking from the forks.

How's your Battery?
Holding Voltage at 12.8v or better when running.
Once you start and Ride does it stop until you park and start again.
MP3's hate Low Voltage.

low hydraulic fork beep warning
The bike starts fine but the battery probably could use a full charge as I drive it very little. I'm just leaning towards the hydraulic pressure since there was a change when I put it on the center stand without the fork lock off. The bike will start now without any beeping but if I come to a light and engage the lock I get the 5 beeps whether I turn the engine off or not

Play this video and see if your issue matches the one here.
This is more like 5 Honks vs a beeps...

@ 1:17 on the Video for Low Hydraulic Pressure.
You could be just low in Fluid, or it may be time to Flush, and put Fresh DOT-4 in the System.

I notice along with the Five Horn warning. The Immobiliser system is activated. Limiting the Engine to below 2000 RPM.

Interesting at above 2000 RPM the Tilt mechanism releases. Put the center stand down and try to get the engine to Rev above 2000 RPM. It causes the Hydraulic system to activate and remedy a temporary low pressure. The bike should operate normally.

If it continues to be a problem do check the reservoir level as mentioned above. Involves removing the windshield, and center front fairings.

A system bleed may also be beneficial. Due to the pressure in the lines at rest. Forcing fluid into the calipers is met with obstructions(Check Valves ?). The Vacuum fluid from the Calipers bleed method works.

5 beep low hydraulic tilt lock warning
Thanks for the help guys. A fully charged battery didn't help so I pulled the windshield and the reservoir was empty. I added 1/2 to 1 oz of DOT 4 and problem solved. I guess if it locks and doesn't beep anymore I don't have to bleed it unless it comes back. I still see no visible leaks but the bike {although only having 600 miles on it } is 7 years old so even a closed system could lose a small bit. I'm going to keep it on the center stand just to be safe since now I'm keeping my new vette next to it in the garage

If you get off the scoot, then activate the tilt lock, there isn't a danger of it falling over due to hydraulic system failure.

If its never been flushed, that would be the right thing to do.
DOT-4 absorbs water over time.
I have some very Ugly Dark Fluid.

Should replace all Fluids every 2 years.
Brakes, Coolant, Tilt-Lock.
I just did my MP3/250 before Amerivespa, it was bad.
I did it two years earlier, and its garage kept.

Glad your working now.
