where it connects just down from the cylinder, its not like the manual, its a allen key job but can't get one to fit properly and not tight, so endanger of rounding it off, could it be A/F. had the same with brake pad pins on front calliper, ended rounding them off, had to get new calliper

any ideas

It`s a bit difficult to advise without knowing the make and model, but the exhaust on my Piaggio is secured by cap head Allen screws which take a 6mm AF key. If your exhaust has been changed at any time the sizes may be different, but I would suppose they would still be Metric.

thanks, will have a look with 6mm, just don't want to round it off as the bracket is part of exhaust and not separate.

looks as if its between a 4mm and 6mm, driving me mad, so 5mm ? need to see if i can clear my table get it on there, jack it up and have a proper look. driving me mad just change the rear pads

had to cut it off, nut is well rounded off, as are a number of bolts on exhaust and hanging bracket[/img]
