I finished the bike last night. Started right up and idled like it always has. Waited until today to ride and I'm very happy. Pulls stronger from the line and a lot more roll on power when needed at 50 or 60 km/h. Hopefully all my work was done to the appropriate standard. I always worry that I may have not fully tightened something or some such oversight. So far so good.

I learned a few things during the upgrade that I will share with the forum. Have taken photos and will do a project write up at some stage.

Thanks to all who have posted on this topic before as your knowledge, tips and experience helped me in an immeasurable way.

I know the feeling of not trusting your own work, especially when its ne

So long as your torqued the head evenly, reset your chain tensioner correctly, and your chain sprocket assembly is correct then you should be good to go.

At least you didn't split the allen nut in the sprocket, going to be a nightmare to remove if I ever need too.

I took photos of everything before I moved to the next step as a quality review step. I'm confident on the points you list and also took a lot of care with the gugeon retaining circlips.

Splitting that Allen nut would be a curse issuing moment. The only minor issue I had were the dowels on the barrel to crankcase. They sat up about 2mm until I torqued everything down.

Time to ride and enjoy from here.

Should get you a bit more and better with a free flow exhaust and air filter. You should probably jet up too. Let un know how it all goes.
