Holy Hill is a Catholic shrine built on one of the tallest hills in the area of southeastern Wisconsin. Great riding topography. I'd put together a route, and gitder and Madison Sully joined in for the ride. Warm and humid, but fortunately the clouds kept it from getting too steamy. Managed to finish the ride and lunch before the rain moved in. Approx 50 miles of group riding, though took each of us an average of an hours' riding to start....
Every ride should start with coffee... gitder and Madison Sully.

Perc Place in Hartford. Vacillated between that and another....good call, the other one would have been closed by the time we got there. Good call. 8)

Did have to stop a few times to check the route, but at least we didn't need your maps.

Riding in Wisconsin
Dave,

Regards to the Great State of Wisconsin. Thanks for
the photos.

Derrick's scooter looks really nice. I usually can identify most
maxi-scooters. Do you happen to know the make?
It looks like a Honda Silverwing chromed out.

Hey, Bob!

He can answer more accurately. IIRC, it's an Aprilia. 2004?. They only made them for a few years. Looks damn fine for being that old. If I wanted to upsize, I'd consider one. It even keeps up with a GTS. Razz emoticon Laughing emoticon

Close Dave - its a 2003 Aprilia Atlantic 500. Believe they only sold here in 03-04. Got it last year and have been very pleased. Tested the Majesty and B400 along with this and the Atlantic 'fit' me the best. Bit of an unknown, and hence less appreciated, but I find it to be an outstanding maxi scoot.

Aprilia Atlantic
Derrick,

I do remember the Atlantic. They were an excellent value
buy against the Silverwing and Burgman and did not stay on
the dealer show floor very long - sold fast, even the trade ins.

You have to admit, the Italians can really make attractive
scooters. When I bought up to a larger scooter in 2007, the
Aprilia and Scarabeo were sold out and unavailable. I joined
the mass ranks of my Minnesota riding group and bought a
Suzuki Burgman 400.

Aprilia Scarabeo...
I'm a bit late here with my comment but I also had a Scarabeo 2006. Great bike and should have kept it. It did the longest one day travel going east back a few years...619 miles one day!! A real cruiser for sure.
