I had an unopened bottle of Vespa brand 2S oil that had probably been around for years . Oil poured out but there was a whole lot of stuff on the bottom. Looked like very fine cotton saturated in the oil. It actually seemed to have a fibrous nature and wouldn't really blend into the oil. It was somewhere between a solid and a liquid. Weird.
This is all I have left. I took out one gob that was almost a teaspoon. Under a microscope it appears to be a thin crystal not unlike fine fibered glass. The tint is from the Amsoil in the gas. I think it is a mineral. When rubbed between fingers, it turns into a very fine powder. Probably settled and crystallized over time. There's no date on the bottle that I can find, but it could be ten years old or more.
Petronas Selenia's Hi Scooter 2 Tech seems long gone.
could be the seal from under the lid... they sometimes used a foamy/spongy stuff, & if bottle had been in the sun, then it may break down due to heat (black bottle, sun = heat)
