i mean, if it gets 65mpg and will take side bags, etc., there's no reason to stick with a lower cc'd scooter?

Looks a lot more comfortable then the NC.

Considering that the Navi never left India (think dual-sport Grom with a CVT), the Integra never crossed the pond, and tons of other Honda products have never seen these shores. TBH, I don't think it would sell well here. I wish it were otherwise.

Yes, there is. Much lower weight, no chain to take care of. The BV can already speed enough to lose one's driver's licence, so what would more HP help with?

After pushing the NC750 around my garage for a couple weeks I can say it's not the HP, but the lb that matters.
Still love the NC, but there's definite trade-offs

I believe the new 2016 NC750X is far more comfortable than the old NC. I might be looking for a new bike later on this year and the new NC750X is near the top of my list. I'd love to see the new Honda Bulldog but I'm starting to give up waiting and I suspect it will be too small for me anyway. The Triumph street twin is also quite tempting.

Weirdly all these bikes have bigger engines and go faster than the GTS but they all return better MPG??? They also have longer tank ranges and have much longer service intervals. The real benefit to me though is that I can park it in London and not have to worry about some spotty kids stealing it.

Of course most of these bikes are more expensive too

looks like the passenger seat to foot peg position would work for my wife. thats all it would take for me to switch from the gts.

I'm strangely attracted to this thing.... perhaps I should be worried. It would need a top box for sure, but I like it.

I treat my BV as regular transport, weather permitting, so a more capable, more comfortable scoot has appeal.

Availability and price notwithstanding. I hope north america does get it too.

The £10k scooter has been around for ages. TMax, BMW,....

I'd argue that at 750cc and not step through, it's clearly a motorcycle (even though a scooter is a motorcycle). Wikipedia says "A scooter or motor scooter is a motorcycle with step-through frame and a platform for the rider's feet. " I don't know what the largest displacement scooter is (maybe 650?) but it seems like this Honda is a bit too big to be called a scooter. Still...the feet do have a platform but so do some Harleys.

DCT. In other words, yes it is an NC750 with some cosmetic changes. If you can't get it in the US, and you are dying for an auto adventure bike - get the NC750. Though, I hope you are fairly tall because the high sitting position will make it a difficult ride for those who are vertically challenged.

harley made a scooter back in the 60's with a step thru frame but todays parleys are not step thru frames so they are motorcycles. this Honda meets the step thru frame design to be call a scooter. Its just a Maxi class, like a Burgman or a BV500 or Tmax or the Aprilia SRV 850 and the Gilera GP800 and lets not forget the BMW 650's

I want to like some version of the Honda 700/750 DCT platform. However, I just don't care for them - for a bike that size, I want something with more storage and a way to have a feet forward riding position.

Except the photo makes it appear as though it has the highest step through ever. I realize all maxi scoots have something of a tunnel for the backbone of the frame, but the "tunnel" of this Honda comes clear up to the seat. Wouldn't it be easier to throw your leg over the back than to awkwardly lift your foot that high in front of you?

Until another manufacturer comes up with something even better then this is a definate bike for me.

If the NC 700 had enough room between the seat and pegs I'd own one already. If this "scooter" has the leg room, which it looks like it does and a DCT, my Vespa is up for sale.

But then I live in the US, so I won't hold my breath.

The CTX700 has a forward foot position, low seat height and can have saddle bags attached.

The Topper. Not a high speed machine, but pretty cool for what it was.
