Hi,
I am using Vespa P 150x. My feeder gear oil screw does not tight properly. If i try to screw it more the screw skip. For temporary purpose i use a cotton thread and turn on it 3 or 4 turn times . The purpose to do that to tight it but unfortunately at the certain point the screw skip its grip from the body hole.
A very little oil comes from it which seams bad .
Kindly let me know how may i fix the issue also guide me that which its the proper length and diameter of this screw ?

thanks

It looks like that's the right size head for the bolt. If it's spinning in its hole it's probably stripped from being over tightened. The engine cases are soft aluminum and the bolt is steel. Steel always wins. If you want to go the route of a helicoil insert Google/YouTube how to install one. I'd leave it alone and wipe up any drips. That's the fill hole and there's not a lot of oil that can come out of there.

Thanks "MJRally" for your prompt reply.Yes the bolt is spinning in the hole. Well at the moment it is not possible to remove the bolt from the scooter because it is in use and if i did some oil will come out .
I want to make another bolt of the same size but its diameter should be slightly in micro mile meter big. What is the actual bolt size, length, etc etc I mean its die mentions of the bolt.

"Ginch" thanks to you as well. Well will try to make it but i have not such kind of tools to do it ...will try to arrange things .

One point just come into my mind that it is also a possibility that the whole of of the bult (soft aluminum) rings are out of order due to tight it over then in that situation a new bult will also spin.... Crying or Very sad emoticon So what do u suggest......

As MJ suggested - helicoil, timesert or other thread repair systems. A mechanic could do that for you. Or you can tap a new thread for a bigger bolt.

If the scoot is level you only fill it with oil until it starts overflowing. You don't need more oil than that.
