Dear all, can someone share worth me the best way to connect and LED bar to my 2016 mp3 500? I bought this one from amazon: Universal Motorcycle Light Strip, Prime Autobots® 33 LED Tail Brake Stop Turn Signal Integrated (ADP33 )

I don't know where to start. If I take it to the shop, the will charge me a lot.

I am good with soldering electronics and followings basic ac/DC diagrams.

Thanks a bunch.

I got the basics. They did post a pic with the color code for cables. It is the connection to the mp3 that I worry about. I have been researching old posts, but haven't found one for my bike.

Jorge,

I recently had my MP3/500 Sport taken apart to install the Saddle Bags.
If you look at that post, I added the documentation to take the bike apart.

You would follow similar, where you remove the Tail Lights.
At that Point, I would splice into the wire harness.

Your picture is very clear on what wire does what, so I would get some "Alligator Jumpers", attach the ground, and then use the other leads to test which wire in the harness does what.

Once you have success, I would diagram on paper, and then come up with a scenario where you have a "Quick Disconnect" on the Piaggio wire harness. Then you will have the ability to disconnect this cable going to your lights for other possible maintenance in the future. If you solder and hard wire, then you may be getting the dikes out to cut the wires to repair something else.
How I would do it...

I think you can get started with that documentation for the Saddle Bags.

I disagree as the admore lights are wired the same way. 1 common ground between all the hots for each function.

Hi Keith,

I couldn't find your post. I remember seeing a couple weeks back, and after an hour searching for it, I gave up.

Can you post the link.

Success. Everything went well, except that I think I burned the left brake bulb.

I will push pics later.
