i don't procrastinate when it comes to fixing shit(except when it comes to my own shit)... mostly because thats all i do, so getting on the internet is not the easyest thing...

i guess you won't know how long it takes me to service your scoot untill you bring it to me...

I was in the area today. Have stuff to do at home (SD) tomorrow and Wednesday. We'll be driving right past there on Saturday, but won't have the scooter with us. I guess I'll try for Thursday. Unless someone beats me to it.

Is anyone else playing? Do you need a hint? Its in the real Surf City, not Santa Cruz.

i'd hate to just pass this back and forth... so someone get there before saturday... otherwise its mine on saturday...

A naked surfer with a tight ass - that's GOT to motivate somebody to get out to HB for a photo.
I hoped to get it today, but there was not enough time for a ride north.

Can anyone offer suggestions on how to get more folks involved?

So what do we do from here? Should I post a new location? Does someone else have a great idea they think would spur some involvement? Anyone want to post a new location?

Maybe be a little more patient. Sounds like Face can get it this week-end. I can't get back up there until next week.
You had a good idea by moving it north. I thought it would bring in more players. Is there a scooter club or shop you can talk with to drum up interest? Can we get Moped and Nyle back in the game? Do we need to go further inland or back down south? Sorry, I've only got questions at this point, not answers.

sorry guys no luck yesterday at all....

i was riding up from my house in south county to go to swerve and curve on saturday, and was going to stop by the naked ass surfer and snap a pic....

but apparently my scooters hated me this weekend...

as i was ridding up PCH, the bracket holding my coil on my super just broke off... left my coil just dangling by the spark plug lead...

then after i got my (not so) super back to my shop and went to get on my ET4, it was making a weird noise...

turns out the Malossi variator i put in less than 500 miles ago is totally wasted... so i spend most of the day replacing that...

so no photo love from me...

maybe this week if nothing else breaks...

Geez, Face, you sure are having a run of bad luck! I hope you're able to turn that around soon.

I've got a lot going on this week - might be able to squeeze in a ride to HB on Thursday or Friday, not looking too promising, though. Moped said he can't and I don't know about Nyle. Anyone else you can talk into getting this?

Out of the hospital, but still with 16 staples in my belly after a colon resectomy (cancer), I'm not the fittest yet, but today was the day.

After I took the naked surfer--here's another one




--I rode for about 40 miles to take four more landmarks, also inseparable from Orange County. Not only that, all four of them also have something else in common.

I'll start with the easiest one, and because it is so easy, I distorted it a bit with my lens.



To get this game going and giving more access to members of different ends of the county, I'll also post three more that I took within that 40 mile trip (not radius!), and whoever tags one of them is IT.

Here are #2, 3, and 4 of today. Tag one, be IT.

Thank you Matt, and now some more pointers.

The commonality of all is, their location or their name starts with--since we're in Orange County, I selected the letter--O.

That gate was shot nine minutes after the location before, and it is obviously on the way between that and the last one. It could have been shot about 4-5 minutes sooner (HINT, HINT!) , had I not spent time first to check out that location and select the best spot.

For those who can't read EXIF data, the time stamp of the shots was:

Surfer: 10:04

New locations:
#1 at 10:34 (I took the freeway!)
#2 at 10:46
#3 at 10:55
#4 at 11:19

got it Now someone fresh go get it!

Okay, some more pointers:

From Huntington Beach to the new locations:
#1 I took the closest freeway going North! How many FWYs are in that area going north? I had to leave the FWY in westerly direction to get to #1

To get to #2, I had to go go reverse and stay off the FWY.

#3 was due east from #2, on the south side of the road.

Shortly after #3, riding got the most fun. Curves, no more traffic, clean air, magnificent views...glad I had my impact-proof Oakleys on, there were lots of insects coming the other way
From #3, I still continued on the same road for miles and miles and only had to take two turns toward the very end to get to #4.

I recognize where the first two are, because I used to live in that city. It's been 15 years though since I've been around there. I'm not placing the latter two though.

IIRC, that last one has been there just under 15 years

Is the second one open for lunch? That could get me over there in a hour or so.

If someone intends to get one of these today, post as such asap or Im going to go.

Is it just too hot (which I could understand)?
