Not sure. I'm guessing they go at the base of the mirror stem to stop water getting in but they don't look wide enough to cover the mirror holes in the headset.

Apparently so but mounting to what??
Not the head cast that's for sure!!!

Remove top of headset, screw the two mirror holders into the threaded holes in the headset bottom and tighten (don't over tighten). Remove rubber bungs/grommets from headset top if present, install headset top. inset mirror stems into holders and tighten, with the rubber protectors in place to prevent water from getting into headset.

Edit: take your point. They look shorter than normal. Maybe you have the wrong ones.

That's what I'm thinking, the thread is fatter than anything in the headset so it cant bolt on to anything in there. I was mainly wondering if it would fit on any PX. Was this the kind of thing that was used on the older models that had the mounts under the headset?

I think you're right. An older one-piece headset uses brackets on the underside, and I think you have the mounts that screw into those brackets.

they might come with 2 sets of mounting hardware in case you are mounting onto the old bracket setup. I think my last stadium mirror pack came with dual hardware.

I've got a similar set up I used to attach non threaded mirror stems to the brackets under the headset.

They've been in a drawer in my hut for about 5 years and I'm not going to use them, not wanting anything for them but if you bump into me at a doo somewhere I'll happily take a couple of pints off you. Got other stuff needing posted so hopefully get it done tomorrow

Thanks again know what I'll be doing on Saturday.
Suppose I might as well do the cables as well since I'll be taking the handlebars to bits.
