Hi all

I am selling my vespa and purchasing an mp3 for me and my wife to use together, so the big question is i found a 125cc and i an my wife a on the slightly cuddly side, so will it have enough power for us to ride together ? Tried to put it nicely, we are on a diet as i have piled it on during my illness, hope somebody can advise.

I agree with Keith. I have a 400 and two up riding with her is not a problem. I am about 175lbs and she is 115lbs. Normally I ride by myself and the 400 is reasonably quick alone. One of these days, I will probably upgrade to the new 500, but just need to work out finances to pay cash for it. 125 with 14hp won't cut it with 2 people for sure.

I can't see one person riding an MP3 125. The 250 just barely made it for me.

Go for a 500cc version of the MP3 or a Gilera Fouco and you won't be disappointed. My wife and I are not as thin as we would wish to be and generally have no issues riding my US model MP3 500 (equivalent to the Gilera Fouco) two up.

As always, thanks for the advice, its difficult looking for one in my price range or at a reasonable distance as well, they all seem to be london way, which is to far for me to travel, will keep my eyes peeled for one.

That's why you find 125 / 250 cheaper. You have a heavy scoot with little power. Why do 400 / 500 sell at a premium? They have the needed power.
